A very nice little game, some "demonic forces" seem more difficult than others, but I'm sure for other players it's the other way around, also the almost roguelite nature of the game ensure you will eventually find the perfect combination of your favourite forces and get the win :)

Nice little game! Don't know what problems others had downloading it, took me a few seconds :/ A little feedback I can give you is that moving the maze around its center caused a bit of shaking of the ball, due to collisions, so maybe making the center of rotation the ball itself would have prevented it. Anyway, good job, and good luck with the jam and your future projects!
Hi! Let's start with the positives: the atmosphere and the polishing are really well done! In a weird sense, when I finally created my setup (more on that later) I really felt like a giant mecha pilot, so that was awesome!
Now for the negatives, I have three complaints: the first one is a blocking bug that has to do with the Melle Attack draw pad, that no matter which shape you draw, it always registers a triangle (Double Cutter), making it impossible to complete the game. The second one is that I had to open two different windows of the game page on my second monitor to tell me which buttons are which because it was impossible to understand it from the game itself. I don't know if it is something you wanted or something you didn't have time to implement. The last one is that this game doesn't really fit the theme of the jam (how is this game about roles reversed?)
In the end, good job for making this game! Good luck for the jam and for your future projects!
Good job on completing this game!
I played two times, one where I didn't get all rules and right when I understood all the controls (I didn't read the game page so I had to learn them by trial, though it wasn't difficult) I died and had the first shock when the application closed. A "game over" screen would have been nice! :') My next attempt was successful and I managed to defeat Dr. P. Geon, only for the application to close on me again :P so here are some thoughts: the art is really funny and the game is fully playable, which is a huge plus for a jam with a limited time as this one. I know designing sounds from scratch is hard, but sometimes a few library sounds go a long way to really enhance the gaming experience. End screen both for dying and winning would have been nice to have, but I can imagine the time was not on your part.
Good luck with the jam and with your future projects!
The game throws you right into the action and even after reading the wery well-presented tutorial, I immediately felt overwhelmed, but after a few seconds I got the gist of the controls and I really enjoyed the loop, with so many different inputs and actions to make. Feedbacks and visuals are stunning! Really a great job! Good luck for the jam! :)
What a nice game! The visuals are sometimes amazing sometimes drafts (hey it's ok in a jam!) and the core loop is realy easy to grasp (once you understood the main mechanic that, since is not detailed in the game itself, had me look to the game page to be understood). Having said that, even with the strenghts/weaknesses opened on the second monitor, I still had troubles guessing which quests were a fit for some heroes/foes.
Overall, really nice job for this jam, good luck! :)
This game feels quite polished, and I had no problems completing it: well done! I think the inversion of the roles isn't as strong here as in other titles I played from this gem, and the fact that heroes don't respawn when you die makes some puzzle auto-solve even if you do the wrong thing.
Good luck! :)
Very simple yet very effective! I really enjoyed this little experience. The twist was nice and the gameplay felt smooth. The only two small complaints I have is that I would have added keyboard shortcuts for the two score buttons, and that a lot of the times the ball just went from center to goal in a few instants, without a single bounce. Great work though, good luck! :)
From a design point of view, I didn't really like the fact that enemies bullets had that double meaning, sometimes you had to be hit, sometimes you needed to avoid them, it made the game loop a bit complicated. I also couldn't reach most of the enemies placed in the upper lines with my bullet. The game was finished and quite polished though! Good job for the effort and good luck for your next ones! :)
This was one of the best games I played in this jam. Really cool idea and great implementation! I loved this game from start to finish, and also liked the fact that in the beginning I was scared of the enemy robots, but when I got a grasp of the controls, I started wrecking everything.
A little feedback: I got stuck in the (third?) level, because I did't get the fact that I had to collect all the parts to make the game start spawning enemies, but then eventually got it.
Great job!
Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately we didn't manage to put a tutorial into the game, so we uploaded it to the game page here ( https://landarkai.itch.io/socksofages )
