This is one of my favorite games from this jam. Simple concept with beautiful minimalistic art and fun mechanics. I played this game through to the end and I would have loved to play more. The fact that you don't just snap to the nearest target makes it so much more satisfying when you get a hit. Excellent game!
Thank you! The concept was to press a key to snap to a near target first, but I thought that would be boring and implemented a gun mechanic instead. And it turned out quite well! I might turn it into a full game in the future.
DAMN it felt great. X)
I've played a LOT of Spiderman games as a kid, on console and flash games. But THIS. That was the best swinging I had in. No joke. I think it's linked to the fact that this is your ONLY way of moving.
With the physics engine doing its work, the catchy music, the sound effects and the animation, that's GORGEOUS. Part of the best games I've rated in this game and trust me, I've rated many X).
Nice work dude! :D
Thank you so much! I didn't expect the mechanics to be liked that much! I think maybe I could make it even more satisfying with some post processing effects and such in the future :)
I wasn't kiding man!!!!! Even if you're only using shapes, the games looks CLEAN. And I think that it's something which is overlooked a lot these days when everyone is trying to have the most realistic graphics of all time.
It's not about how close it looks like real life. It's about COHERENCE. Do the elements of this world blend correctly together?
The way your flipped the shapes and added smooth animation was good. Hands down X). I even recommended it to a friend... X)
Very nice! I bit more visual feedback for the end of the levels or how long the rope will be at any given point would make it better but still amazing!
Thank you! Yeah, I agree with the end of the levels being not clear enough. But I don't quite understand your second suggestion, can you explain it a bit more?
Amazing game! One of the best I have played so far. Extremely fun and satisfying to move around, my favorite part was accidentally latching onto off screen blocks and circles. Maybe unintentional, but fun nevertheless. The music was great too! Graphics were simple, but I thought it fit the game and looked good.
Thank you! Yeah, I thought I limited the length bullets can go but apparently I did not, so you can attach to objects really far away. But it's quite fun when it happens!
i had so much fun playing this game! The mechanic is very good implemented but it lacks in the graphic aspect, something that is comprehensible since you mention that it was done in 12 hours. Very good game nonetheless.
Thank youu! I'm so glad you had fun :)
You are welcome! Would you mind telling me what do you think of my game?
I'm kinda busy right now, but I intend on playing and rating some games later today or tomorrow, I'll be sure to check yours out too!
Good game! The base concepts work. My only complaint, more levels, but shorter (at least the first couple). If the controls were tightened and some extra pizzazz and a few other mechanics, this could be a full game.
Thank you so much! I'm surprised I managed to get the mechanics working in such a short time (i only had 12 hours), but still, it was rushed, especially the levels. I might add some new mechanics and improve the levels and turn it into a full release in the future.
