This was *super* cool but it got really frustrating having to wait through the game over screen every time I died. Aside from that, the art, audio, and gameplay all worked super well together and the premise was really unique to boot. Awesome work!
Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes - having to watch the Game Over screen was one of the first things we noticed needed a change in next release. So, a retry button has been added in an upcoming release once the page is unlocked.
Thanks again for the feedback, every bit helps!
The music, art style slaps hard. Game controls are tight and I'm excited to see what updates you guys add!
nice game.
This is a fun premise. I think it could use a quick restart though and I don't feel like the sides of the viewport should instantly kill you. Screen wrapping would create some interesting situations. Overall, nicely polished.
Hey, thanks for playing! Funny comment on screen wrapping, as we couldn't decide between having it or death upon wall hit. The retry / quick restart are already fixed and added in next release once the page is free from ratings lock.
Thanks again, and greatly appreciate the feedback.
This game is tough as nails. I probably spent way more time playing this game than I should considering how many times I died on the first and second pigeons hahaha
But the movement feels great and is at the same time intuitive and super hard to control. The music and art are great on this game. The main menu song and the in-game theme are both great chiptune compositions. It reminded me of old unofficial 16(or X)-in-1 cartridges in the 8 bit era, in which this game would be an exceptionally cool but frustrating piece, especially due to the infuriating yet endearing Variable Pigeon Speed (VPS for short). My main gripe with this is not being able to quickly restart since I die so **** much.
Haha, yeah it's pretty tough; partly because we only had enough time left in the jam to create one level. A tutorial level is already completed, as well as the retry options and other fixes/enhancements, and will be updated/released once the page lock is removed from review.
@lukem3ds is the hero that created the soundtrack and artwork!
Thanks again for all the feedback, it's greatly appreciated!
