I absolutely love it! Especially being able to place blocks while controlling the player's movement! Not many other games of the same type can achieve that. Well done!
Nice idea ! It was pretty fun :p. Would love to see this idea expanded in a bigger demo !
It was fun! At the beginning, there's a similar vibe to There Is No Game, except for the fact that we're programming the game :p . However, the game doesn't natively support the AZERTY keyboard layout, so you have to tinker a bit to be able to play properly. Additionally, it's not indicated anywhere that we should use the mouse in edit mode. I searched for a while before figuring out what to do. Otherwise, there's a lot of potential for the puzzles. I wonder how far this idea can go. Well done! :)
Such a cool idea! There are so many places you could go with this. It would be cool to be able to change the properties of other things eventually, at one point I forgot I could place blocks and spent a while trying to edit the walls to be passable. I hope you keep building it after the jam and we get to see that boss fight. Nicely done!
Good game, I found some clipping bugs when standing beneath the moving platforms to squish me underground. You could either fix that or hide a secret level somewhere if you clip through the ground in a specific place.
Pretty nice game, maybe being able to update the jump height is too op, especially in the platform levels, as they become useless.
Great concept, I truly enjoyed it
Loved the idea of tweaking the entities on top of platform creation!
Interesting concept (and I have my guess from where you got the inspiration from... smart move), and I liked how the features were being added as you progress through the levels, so it doesn't feel overwhelming. If you intend to expand on it, and I think you can, I'd suggest working on the jumping (I know you can customize the height, but the timing feels a little odd to me) and improve on the features, because as there are many parts working together, the easier for bugs to happen. Overall, interesting experience, good job
Neat concept, very creative. I loved the idea of being able to edit not just the layout of the map, but the parameters of the entities (player and platforms so far).
Building the menu at the beginning was also really clever, and set the tone for sure.
This could be a really cool and challenging puzzle platformer with some more concepts and levels. Definitely a bit too easy at the moment: setting jump height and run speed to max made some levels trivial. But there’s something special here for sure.
I’m glad you liked it :D. Thanks for the review!
This is really fun and the concept incredibly good, though I wish the blocks placed had a different sprite than the surroundings; if you spent more time refining the levels and limiting the powers of the player (like maybe where/how far you can place blocks), a full game of this would be really cool
The game was easy but fun. I liked how you could edit the stats of the player and the platforms (Which I didnt need to use) but the mechanic was really fun.
