I didn't understand how to finish the game and then, I saw the comments ;). Just wanted to say that even if there's some bug, I really liked your game/demo : the simplicity of color, shapes and animation is well polished, especially if it's your first game jam! Well done, I mean it !

Thanks!

Cute creatures, pretty style and a nice theme. Liked the consequences when you cannot keep the balance.

I felt I was missing something though. I didn’t burn the first big mushroom until I saw the screenshot because it felt like a non-interactable object. After I did I couldn’t burn the second one even after progressing on the water side. I’m not sure what I couldn’t see. Is this the mentioned bug?

Yeah, it is the mentioned bug; a simple oversight of not turning a collider into a trigger :') I'm doing an update once possible, with a few small tweaks that hopefully communicate some of the ideas better. Thanks for the feedback!

Love the graphics so much. I saw below that it's your first game jam, you did a wonderful job! Excited to see how this develops, if you decide to take it further (please do!)

Developer

Thanks! I'm doing a small update once possible to fix a few issues. After that, I do think I would like to work on it a bit further to make it a more proper game, with a longer overall playtime and at least a few puzzles that expand on the idea.

I like it :3

Feels like a great presentation of the theme, but hindered by a bug. Promising potential for future updates. The environment design and atmosphere of the game felt rather on point!

Cool game! Sorry you werent able to finish everything but youve got a solid foundation

Really nice graphics but I don't understand what the idea with the blocking mushroom is and what the watering and lighting is supposed to do... Was this finished?

Developer

First game jam, went in with a little too much ambition, so I wasn't able to fully execute the planned puzzles nor get rid of a bug that prevents the ending from being achieved. However, both creatures play a role in getting past the obstacles like the mushroom. Consider it a first demo of an idea. Still, thanks for playing!
