Cool concept! Haven't seen this reversal utilized in any other entries. I found the moment to moment gameplay wasn't particularly engaging.

Hm. The city needs a police station because I'm pretty sure I broke a bunch of laws. For one, apparently I don't care about others lol. And secondly, I didn't even notice that the world is supposed to be changing? Welp, what do you expect from a sim?

Developer

Thanks for trying out the game!

I don't know what idiot is building this city I'm walking through but the residents won't be happy. Maybe tweak the random generator a little bit. I was also stuck in a parasol for a bit. At that moment the music turned up to taunt me. Maybe you should be able to free yourself somehow.

Developer

Thanks for playing! That's the most roads I've seen it generate haha.  Yeah, the procedural city generation needs more work than what the 48 hour jam allows for.  I should have put a button that resets the players position to help with problems like getting stuck.

Extremely buggy game, but still fun

Developer

Yeah, there are some things that I just ignored for the jam haha.  Buildings can spawn on the player and usually, but not always, let you out.

The building suddenly spawns in front of me, trippy. But this was fun nonetheless! Great work!

Thanks for trying it out!

Pretty cool concept. Big Cities Skylines fan, so this was a good homage for me. Interesting twist on it, very good for a 48 hour build. Would love a little backstory for the NPCs to make me wanna help them more.

Developer(+1)

Awesome! Thanks for playing.  Yeah, backstory for the NPCs would be good.  They are pretty barebones right now

All my hours in Cities Skylines, and I never once thought about how those poor sims feel

Developer

Same! Thanks for trying the game!

For me the game is lagging too much to be actually able to play it :/
I'd suggest you to scale it down a bit. Especially for webGL build 😬

Developer(+1)

Hey, sorry to hear that it's lagging for you.  I am not experiencing any lag in the game.  What part is lagging for you?  I'll check it out after the voting window.

I have an issue with multiple games like this one. Not really sure why, but webGL suck for me a lot, especially with huge maps. Even our own game is laggy for me when I open the webGL on fullscreen (small Windows works tho).
Don't know why, that must be something on my PC. I was just trying to give you feedback for the next game that some people might have less powerful machines so keep that in mind :)

Nice concept, but I don't really see how it fits the theme

(please rate my game)

I get it - player recreate city, you are one of many sims (but I do not think I met any)

Developer

Thanks for trying the game! Typically city builder games have a player building a city from above.  However, in this game, the roles are reversed and the player is a sim in the city that is being changed by the AI.

Oh now I get it
