Love it! So simple but it works so well! Excellent work team!!!
Really great game! First off, the art is amazing, every single sprite is so good. The gameplay is great, but it felt like the game was running in slow motion. I did enjoy tossing the minions into the hero lol. Overall, awesome work :D
The sprites have so much personality!
You should consider making the first gorbling unmissable to show the player that they can be thrown.
I try to go blind in the games to fully experience the twist in gameplay and I completely missed that the hero could be slowed down.
The sprites looks so good! Really fun game, I love throwing little goblins 😈
I think the game could be a little faster (same for the animations) and still be enjoyable, but that's just my opinion 😅
Such a solid entry! The art was stunning. Whoever did the sprite work is so talented. Congratulations on your submission!
Very polished game with great art, congrats!
Wow, just wow - this game looks great, feels great to play and has such a nice premise. I have nothing more to say. Great job!
Really nice comment! Thank you and I'm glad you had fun!
beautiful animations :) i loved how the knight just absolutely doesn't care and simply phases through walls. simple but challenging gameplay, took me at least 5 tries to get to the end (but probably more tbh)
the game feels way too smooth and jank-free for a jam game, huge congrats!
The phasing was due to time constraints! He has a magic sword, so why not just phase through walls rather than walk around them! I am glad you beat it. You did Gorbin proud!
The art used for this jam was wonderfly done. The knight's flowy walk cycle and the villain's jump animation were _so_ smooth. I struggled when we were both on the single wide walkway but I had a blast. Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed the animations! I tried my best in the short time frame. Hopefully there was fun in the challenge. It's not just you, I played a few rounds tonight and only won once!
The art of the game is amazing, and as a pixel game fan I I love it so much! The gameplay is simple but the level design is fun and tense.
At first, I didn't know that I could jump in this place and kept failing, which made me think that the game was buggy. hahaha :)
I'm glad you enjoyed the level design! Thanks for playing, and hopefully you beat it!
Amazing art style, the controls little weird and spacing between walls could be just tiny bit wider. Everything else was fabulous. Well done !
Thanks for the feedback!
Challenging game but made it to the end! There’s a few things that made it a bit frustrating, but I think when ironed out it could be very fun c:
the art is so clean and great! Both the win and lose image cards are so good! It got difficult towards the end but winning was so exciting. We played as a group and all shouted when we got to the end. Great work! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ long live king gorbin
Just lovely! Nice job!
Funny, short little game that looks professionally-made
- It would have been appreciated if there would have been some sort of a title-screen, and if the controls would have been also explained within the game itself
- You really should be able to pick up the little minions from any single angle
Such impressive animation and sprite work!
I have a soft spot for weighty momentum-based platformers. The control felt very accurate to the character. The most difficult thing to grasp was not being able to jump when throwing minions -- that killed me a couple of times -- but I got the hang of it.
I appreciate the detail of squashing minions when jumping on them -- I was not expecting that!
Good work!
A fun and charming game! Excellent presentation but the player moment feels a bit off
Fantastic graphics and gameplay, however I don't think the player movement feels good. It need some UX enhancements, such as some audible and visual signals for moving and jumping.
Adjust the camera position a little bit to show more of the level in front.
Good job!
