Lovely visuals, and fun gameplay. Sadly I was a few coins of the first week so had to spawn 1 in, was gutted! If this continues in development I would definitely love to play! Great job on the jam :)
I really liked the exchange resources idea, but is it random for each charather or is it a fixed amount?
it's based off which quest you assign! Each hero takes a cut of the quest reward, with a small degree of randomness to stop it from being 100% predictable
Lovely art!
Damn! Amazing aesthetics, responsive gameplay and more importantly it was fun! Great entry!
Really nice work on this game. "Papers Please" vibes! Encountered a small bug where I couldn't ring the bell after doing the tutorial then starting my first run, it was after the first npc went, reloading the page and going straight into the game without the tutorial after seemed to sort it and had no issues after.
Cool artstyle I see the vision. Poggers.
very fun! I love the art
Super great stuff! I especially like how the tasks felt tactile, they never felt too static. The fact that there are a good number of tasks in the game is also great. No criticisms that haven't already been mentioned so all in all, a great submission!
I like the artstyle. Gameplay reminds me a bit of Papers Please
beautiful game! did you code this outside of an editor?
this was made using GMS2 as its engine of choice!
beautiful art style! The main issue i ran into was getting stuck when i ran out of money. Some sort of "You lose" screen would be a good addition. Great job! I definitely got Potion Craft vibes with how the candle and stamp worked.
Aw thank you so much! We were actually working on a lose screen but ran out of time, haha. If we build upon it we'll be sure to add it in, thank you for the feedback!!
crazy idea for a game i love it
The art style is absolutely beautiful. I love all the little sound effects and the coin physics when they fly out of the chest and off the table. I wish you could tell how much money you had because it's not legible and having something to tell you what day it is would be nice. Which quest you chose didn't seem to really matter. I would love to see this expanded and fleshed out into a full game. Great job!
I really wanted to get the quests to have an impact based on hero preference, there's actually a lot of setup for it in there.
But trying to showcase all that information was to much when so many other more important aspects demanded attention
Makes sense that's the nature of game jams. You can't include everything you want to. I think you scoped very well.
Awesome game! One bug I encountered is that ringing the bell will end the day, no matter if you have quests left or not. Still a great concept nonetheless!
This is actually intentional! not every quest is a good idea after all... The only time you can't ring the bell to end the day is when you owe someone money (The king or the adventurers), sending the heros on a quest is meant to be a calculated risk where you wager if you'll still have enough money to pay them by the time they get back!
Good one, I really enjoyed it
The graphics and the presentation is astounding in this one. The medieval theme and the black and white colors really appeal to me! I also think that this is a concept that has so much potential. It's like a framing simulator but instead of taking care of a farm you take care of an adventurers' guild. With the addition of more mechanics I could see this being a successful indie title! Awesome work!
Wow! Thank you so much!!
So that's what an arrow on the knee feels like... Great game!!! :)
Love the idea that we're the npc giving out quests! The sfx were also really satisfying, especially those coins
nice idea, why is there a nut on the logo?
well it waaaaas meant to be a compass, oops.
Great idea, very well made and really enjoyed to play. Well done!
