The game has been updated now, it now has a level select and time trial mode. You can find my initial dev times in the description if you wish to challenge any. Sub 1 minute on the final level would be a cool goal.

Slopes have been adjusted, hopefully you won't shoot off a mile into the air now

Backgrounds are now darker so hopefully this has been addressed

This jumping should hopefully be better and more consistent now

The smoke effect has now been reduced, thanks for the feedback!

Hopefully this issue occurs less now, just updated the game now ratings are over. Theres also a time trial esque mode

An option to remove the screen shake has now been added along with a time trials and other fixes, smoke also has increased transparency now and backgrounds are darker

Really creative idea, I like how the fans/wind are also affected by the character size. You managed to implements lots of mechanics in a short time that were really fun, best parts of splatoon and a de blob combined haha. Enjoyed what I played, the retry bug others mentioned stopped me playing as long as I couldn't instantly learn from my mistakes when I failed a level.

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the difficulty

Thanks for the feedback and for playing! Will look to address this with a small patch after

Really enjoyed this, it reminds me of those digital art videos where the infinitely scroll, very creative interpretation of the theme

Saw this on the GMTK live stream, really love the concept and was fun to play. The UI and character sprites changing are really helpful for knowing how damaged you are and how much damage the ball will do

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! Yeah I think the smoke should either show behind the player, be reduced or have its transparency increased, side note its also a pain for YouTube video quality haha, found that out making my trailer last minute

Thanks for playing! I was on the fence about whether to include the narrative on the itch page or not I'm glad you liked it

Great visuals and smooth gameplay, I liked the part where banana

Cool idea its an interesting twist on a breakout style game, its fun to fire a shot from between buildings and watch it smash a bunch down

Congrats on your first project! It's an interesting interpretation of the theme, It's cool seeing the coverage breakdown, It would be cool if it was expanded in the future to have more shapes to fill in or obstacles you have to avoid with your mouse when placing items down

Beautiful graphics and charming plot. Gameplay is smooth and polished and very creative. I think the spikes could do with having smaller hitboxes it can feel a bit unforgiving if you just slightly catch one as you land

Played it to the end! Really fun game and great balance of risk vs reward, it's really fun to clear a whole screen of smaller enemies with a big projectile. You've done an amazing job on visuals for not only the game but the itch page as well!

Really enjoyed the speed boost of jumping when large then swapping to being small to launch yourself. There were a few times where I got teleported back for seemingly no reason

This looks really promising and the visuals are really good, looking to see what you do with this

Really love the art style its the right level of unsettling for a game about feeding mother. Enjoyed playing this great job!

Found myself playing this for a good while! Really well executed and easy to understand

Slopes are pain 😭 glad you enjoyed it!

Great visuals and such an unique idea for the theme! Really nicely done, screen shake when the larger character lands and making the smaller character bounce from it adds really nice game feel

The wall climbing level was really cool, I like how you can go from wall climbing while small to just jumping on top of them as a giant. Couldn't finish the level when i was too big I don't think the flag recognized me touching it but it was fun either way

Great job on your first serious game jam entry. Hope to see you do many more! Impressive that you managed to make 3 distinct mini games in a game jam period. Only thing I'd suggest is possibly a practice mode so you can keep trying a certain minigame, I'd like to get better at escape the coop but as it's random I couldn't quickly try it over.

First of all, insane and awesome that you made a custom engine for this. The concept of vertically scaling in a tower defense is really interesting. Enjoyed playing this!

Wow! You knocked it out the park with the audio and visuals! The weapon drop system is a really nice touch

Thanks for playing! That was my favourite animation to make haha

Yeah they could use some work, there's a later level where I was sometimes forgetting my own route as the dev 💀 will see about updating this after voting. Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks! I think this was a bug with my wall checks that sometimes cancels out your jump if you're too close to a wall, I set myself a weekend deadline for submission but hopefully I can fix this up quickly after voting is over. Id have liked the wall climb to work on lower down ledges as well but I think its a related issue

This games really good! Unlike other gravity based ones this gives you a lot of chance to correct your mistakes. I also really like that you added options to skip levels, not many of the entries have it including mine and its super helpful. When I came across the level with tons of asteroids I got spooked thinking I wouldn't be able to do it, but I managed to and it was really fun dodging them and using the sun to take some of them out, then build up speed and thread it towards the exit.

Thanks! Oh I gotchu! Making sure I review back, as it takes time to its much appreciated!

Really cool game, great audio and visuals. Enjoyed playing this one,  there was definitely a few times where I felt like I was cheating but maybe that's intentional haha!

Great game, super polished, I felt a great deal of accomplishment doing that level with 2 ships. Having multiple ways to solve a problem stops it from becoming two overwhelming and the trajectory lines also help with this

This art style is amazing, it reminds me of a mix of scribblenauts and earthbound. The concept is really well executed and theres lots of funny moments and charm in the messages hidden behind CTRL

Really clean art and I love the portable ladder mechanic, there's really helpful telegraphing for debris falling and it adds tension. Really well done. With our games having similar themes I can't help but feel like we could have collaborated on something ;)
