How does your game fit the theme?
This game is in the style of a resource gathering survival game, but instead of playing as the main character, you play as the sound. This is a role that you normally wouldn't play in a survival rpg.

Quite liked the game, though didn't feel much of a connection to the theme of being role reversed as I just felt like playing a rythm game.
Overall, goodjob though, had quite some fun :D
Thanks a lot for the feedback and glad you liked it!
For the theme, I went with the interpretation of playing a role that you wouldn't normally play. In this case you take the role of the sound effects instead of the main character in the RPG. It's different from a typical rhythm game because the events are generated by the actions of an AI character exploring the RPG world rather than scripted directly based on the music . I think if I had more time to add additional mechanics it would've sold the idea a little better. Definitely something to improve for next time.
Ah, I get it now!! Thanks for the explanation!
Very nice game. Once you get the hang of it, its more a matter of how long you can play before you get bored. I would suggest you make it more punishing when you miss but also make the score increase faster. I feel that would make it more satisfying to master the rhythm.
YEAH, I totally agree with you. Great suggestions! I would also suggest to change the melody more often, it helps to keep the player interested in what's coming next.
Definitely great suggestions and things I would've liked to add if I had more time to work on it. I agree that the progression stalls pretty quickly once you get past the intro. Thanks a lot for the feedback!
So that's where the DJ from my game went... Really great art and music! Could see the mechanic pushing out a soundwave to defeat enemies etc, with strength dependent on how well-timed it was. Look forward to seeing more philosophical questions answered!
That made me laugh. Interesting connection between our games. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! Really great idea on the soundwaves for fighting enemies.
Very addicting. Would love to see some sort of update where the beat moves faster as your progress!
Great idea. Thanks!
Played the game blindly (without reading the description) and was in for a surprise. Really creative idea and combination of genres. I'll certainly play again if you ever decide to add more musics and beats!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to play. Nice to know that the 'role reversal' came across to some extent. Thanks for the feedback :)
LOVED IT! Once I got the pattern it was a fun little beat to tap along to. I'd be awesome to see you keep working on this and adding new songs, levels, and complex patterns like the triple trees
Thanks a lot :)
I am incredibly bad at rhythm games so this was very hard lol, cool concept and presentation and the music was great
I personally love rhythm games, so this was an absolute delight. The connection to the theme felt like a little bit of a stretch, but I still had a blast playing!
Thanks a lot for the feedback. For the theme, I went with the interpretation of playing a role that you wouldn't normally play. I can see how it might not come across very well, and I should have developed the idea a little further to emphasize it. Something to improve for next time. So glad you liked the game.
Super nice, I'd love to see this get brain-hurtingly complicated. With multiple workers and more buildings, eventually turning into a rave once you craft everything and hire everyone
I love that idea. Thank you!!
Quite a unique concept! It didn't click for me as I'm bad with rythm buuut when I stopped trying to be on the beat I could start enjoying the old school aesthetics of the game, the attention to the little details and the amount of polish that went into it.
Great entry! :-D
Amazing!!! I really liked it! Can't wait to see the updates with no time limit ;)
Thanks a lot <3
Absolutely love this game. I know you only had 48 hours, but if you ever had the chance to add in more levels, more input options, more rhythm patterns, etc. I would totally buy that game at full indie price. One of the best rhythm games in progress that I've ever seen.
Wow thank you so much! It's always hard for me to tell if people will like a game while working on it, and to be honest I didn't have high hopes for this one. I really appreciate the feedback, it means a lot.
