How does your game fit the theme?
There are two main roles in TD games: the defenders and the attackers. In this game, at the end of every wave, the roles reverse, and you must attack your own defence.

This really adds a twist to the TD games that I saw on the jam, and very well executed. Nice job!
Thanks!
Not sure if I played this correctly but I ended up treating this as a regular TD game. I assume the goal was to be able to deflect the enemies but bypass the defense when it's your turn to play as enemy. To communicate this better some fail condition would help I guess.
I will give it another try today, but here is my first attempt:
Yeah, you want to have a just good enough defense to defend the wave, but be able to defeat it during the attack mode. preserving checkpoints during defense and getting them on attack allows you to get more money. You aren't supposed to make the ultimate defense everytime because if you do that you won't be able to attack it. Thanks for playing!
Nice game! It's good to be in both positions, even if I had trouble planning ahead due to lack of informations (maybe description of what the turrets/ennemy does?)
Really good job overall, fits the theme :)
I'm too good at defending it seems, I can't get anything through at wave 6 x)
Thanks! We will be reworking the GUI so hovering over things will show info about them, but right now you can see what everything does on the "?" button. We also have some plans for a feature that shows what enemies will appear on the next wave (wasn't able to implement during jam)
Super cool that you thought about all that, have fun implementing! :)
Interesting. I had fun, even though I wasn't paying much attention to the finances. :-)
Thanks!
Definitely an interesting take on the TD genre. I love how you have to balance being defensive so that you can aggress later on. Took me a few tries to get a balance down, but i can see myself spending a few hours on the game just grinding levels. Definitely fun and would like to see more of this later on. The information can be a bit better placed though, so tap your friendly neighborhood UI/UX designer!
Thank you so much, that's what we envisioned. We are already on the process of improving stuff, both visually and code wise. Some people dislike the fact you have to not be super strong on defense to be able to attack, so that's something we are looking into aswell, it would be cool if the game pleased both sides
Solid game, loved playing it.
Thanks!
Really interesting take, even better than my take of my collab for this jam !
I don't like how you can't sell your towers after placing them, and the tower deleting when you restart is annoying too.
you can sell your towers by right clicking them before starting a wave! I cant blame you for not noticing, it should probably have been in the information menu, considering you're not the first to ask to add selling lol
We really tried to add a proper restart that doesn't delete the towers without making you get extra money or anything but due to time issues and the difficulty of adding that (at least from my pov) this was the best we could do to prevent bugs and unintended behavior
Great idea!! Excellently done
Thanks!
A great idea that can be expanded upon if given more time.
And hopefully it will, thanks!
The idea is very cool, only remark that I have is that the attack is slow at the beginning if you have a strong defense. Apart from that it's pretty amazing !
Yep, the game was balanced towards having a defense that is good on defense but that you can outplay yourself in attack. We are thinking about solutions to being able to win on attack even with a strong defense, but not in the way of changing the main game's objective.. Thank you!
Impressive work here. Cool idea. I liked it.
Thanks!
Really cool game!
And it's really well made :)
Thanks!
i really like how you interpreted the theme and lso the gameplay in general =)
Thanks!
the concept is fun! easy to get addicted to it. it would be nice to have the retry button didn't remove your whole tower defense. having a way to remove towers that you placed would be a nice
you can sell towers before starting a wave by right clicking them, though its a bit finicky, the mouse needs to hover over their exact center
We wanted to do that but it would be too complicated with the way we were doing things, and you can sell towers by right clicking on their cannon! We know it's a bit wonky to have to put the mouse right on top of the tower's cannon, we will improve that after jam. Thanks for feedback!
Good idea. I'm stuck in your game. Congratulations!
Thank you!
Really interesting concept. I love how it feels like you're playing against yourself rather than playing against the game like normal tower defenses. My only gripe is that I want to make my defense as strong as possible but if I do so, then I can't beat it and have to restart. I know that's part of the strategy, but I feel it would be more satisfying if there was more ways for you to overcome the defenses when you are attacking without making my defense weaker. Great game!
We did talk about something like buffs to enemies and something like spells, but we didn't have much time. It's our first jam either way, I'm glad people are enjoying it as is! But part of that is implemented, with the tower that buffs enemy's speed. We will probably keep working on this, so we are taking feedback and want to add new things for this game. Thanks for playing!
I really like the clean layout/artstyle!
Thanks! Art was all done by Kojimkj while I messed a bit with lighting and particles x)
Great idea! Love it!
Thanks! Your game is awesome by the way, reminds me of a board game called boss monster, really fun
