How does your game fit the theme?
Instead of wanting to win the dogfight, you instead want to lose, therefore "reversing roles" with the other player.

This is fun! ( but my antivirus detected it as malware and quarantined it which was a bit concerning )
I like the concept and it is surprisingly difficult. Adding things like powerups could be fun, or maybe different types of ships that incentivize different playstyles. Good job overall!
Thanks for playing my game and giving me some helpful feedback! I'll think about adding powerups if I ever do turn this into a full release.
Edit: about your antivirus detecting the game as a virus, that's an issue which it seems a lot of people were facing. I think it's probably an issue with my packager :/
Who know losing could be this challenging...fun game! I would make the screen bigger (more zoomed-out) though.
Yeah, it looks like zooming the game out is probably the most common feedback I'm getting. If I ever do finish this game, that'll be the first thing I add!
This was a fun game especially with my friends. Tnx for making it!!
yw, yw. I'm glad to hear that you played it with your friends, the "AI" isn't really that fun to play against.
Neat concept with trying to lose, wish I had someone on hand to play it with. It's not bad with the AI but I'm sure it's way more fun with another player! I like the style, minimalistic and clean.
Yeah, my random button-pressing "AI" isn't really that fun to play against. The art is by Pikamon, go check them out at https://itch.io/profile/pikamon!
interesting. love seeing 2p games
Hey there! It was pretty fun to make a two player game, but I only managed to do one true "2P" test.
I happened to have someone to play with and i gotta say trying to crash into each other is pretty fun. Also i love the amount of polish here.
Thanks! The polish was so much harder than it seems, because I had to use pygame, but I'm happy that someone noticed it!
Cool game! Nice take on the theme and the controls make it extra chaotic which is fun :)
I sure am glad to see another fan of chaotic games here!
Neat idea! Found it fun trying to force myself into the enemies path!
I'm not sure if I should've made the bullets faster, because that would've made it easier to get in the line of fire. I had basically no time to playtest and balance, though...
Very cool game, although I had some issues installing at the start.
It's cool to not have to kill the other but use the others' attacks.
Nice art aswell
Yeah, I thought that this would be a more common GMTK idea with this theme, but it looks like everyone likes it so far! 🤞
Cool idea! I like the concept of a dogfight that requires avoiding destroying the other, whilst trying to hit into their attacks. Also the art style is simple in a stylised way and is very clean and clear. I think the gameplay has some potential places to be improved with not "code-heavy" changes. For example, projectiles and meteors could be slowed down, allowing for a more tactical approach for aiming and dodging. Additionally, the screen/map could be bigger. Besides this, for a 48 hour game jam it's a fully working game that looks good, fits the theme and functions as it should. Good work!
Thanks for the feedback! I didn't have much time to tune the speed of the comets (or anything else, really), because they were a last minute addon. The map is a little bit small because I tested this on a machine using a larger monitor, so once I moved it onto my FHD pc, it was too late to build it again.
Wish I had a friend to play with as the CPU seems to have an advantage with reaction times, lol.
Well... about that, this game is so chaotic that the "AI" doesn't have to be that smart. I have it programmed to press random buttons, so that means that you are playing worse than random 😅(don't worry, I lose most of the time as well.)
Dang... On a *totally* unrelated note, do you happen to know where I can return my gamer card?
