Good job guys !!
I really liked the transitions when the level ended. The game was calm and relaxing. The controls made sense and were easy to learn. The graphics, although simple, made sense and looked well. The game was overall, very nice!
We loved this game and beat every level! We love the credits, but didn't want it to end. We also love the sound effect when hitting a speed boost.
I thought that the game was quite fun! It was kinda janky and strangely hard at points, but overall I think that this sure has potential, even if it doesn't fit the theme that well. It definitely needs some more work to make the concept fit better, but if it did, it could be interesting.
The theme idea doesn't really work and the game isn't all that much fun. I do appreciate the effort put into the presentation though!
I like the game overall. I agree with others that the role reversal really doesn't come through and I feel like I'm just playing a golf game. The sound design is nice, and I liked the level design with the exception of the final level which I really did not find very enjoyable. Aside from the last level though, I had a good time with this one.
I feel like this falls into the trap of reversing a good idea makes it the reverse of a good idea, yknow. Well executed but it's kind of just playing golf but you have even less control.
I've seen a couple variants on this idea, but this is probably the best one ive seen so far. The rendering is great, and the concept is brilliant. Playing the hole where it lies was a good choice, as it lets you move closer to the ball on the trickier maps. I only wish the ground had more friction so the ball would stop sooner, and I would love to try a version where the hole was itself controlled like a golf ball.
High marks, I want to see more.
Thank you puppetsquid! The team and I really appreciate the thorough review and praise! We're definitely going to do a pass on the ball physics after this period.
Wow this was really fun! And the gameplay is very smooth. It surprisingly made me think quite a bit while playing it! (Though I'm not the best at golf, so that might also be a reason why...)
Had some fun with this one. I think the camera was a little woozy, and the controls could use some work. Overall a great effort!
The physics is a tad bit slippery but I can see where the game wants to go, definitely a super fun concept and would like to see more of this post jam!
