Nice take on the theme, well done.

Level design has some cool ideas, it's nice to have to rediscover the same environment several times ! but it's true that controls are a bit rough. I guess it fits the depression theme though, it's really hard to get through that door ^_^

Cool concept! I really like the posters and books and such lying around lol, overall a fun experience, I did get stuck a few times

The controls feel a bit clunky, and I keep getting stuck in the drawer.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! we understand the air control problem and from what I understand, it's only in the weird jump pads

There is NO air control which makes the jumps so hard because you are fixed on one trajectory as soon as you press space. I can't get past even the second level because of how it's just a guessing game on if you can make it or not.

Developer

You can control in the air with camera. You can see an example of it in gameplay video

I love the concept! but sadly the execution was poor. The game feeling wasn't that good, the movement was bad (difficult to move around)- this is a platformer, so don't make it easy to overshoot (it's way too easy to overshoot your jump here)

The concept was good but sadly because of the poor movement I couln't get any enjoyment out of it. I also got stuck several places and had to restart. The room and objects are nice but polishing seems to be lacking. I think it's overall a good game for a jam! :) I'm sure with more time this could be a very good game though. Consider to keep working on it :D

Thanks for the feedback! We had some difficulty making a satisfying character controller, and changing it after the level design is done risks making the game unbeatable.
Since I had some time today, I made an alternative version with different movement controls (I also fixed some bugs and softlocks) that you can find here if you want to play the game more: https://github.com/StupidHobbit/GMTK2024/releases/tag/leroymilo_cut_v1

Please make sure you rate the game published on the itch.io page, because the version linked in this message was finished after the Jam end.
