How does your game fit the theme?
You control a mushroom character that scales the map by climbing, using scaled up mushrooms which you have to grow. In order to have a chance to win the game you must grow the mother mushroom by feeding her. She will then scale upwards. You can also collect, build and grow shrooms.

I liked the different type of mushrooms and how they could interact with each other. The lack of health bar made it difficult to know when I was close to death. Having a blend between a platformer and a tower defense is unique and interesting. The camera was a bit janky and made the platforming harder. A really cool concept, had a great time playing! :D
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the feedback!
Really great entry! Like others have mention a health bar would help but I know it's a game jam and you can't get everything done! Main character is THICC haha good work!
Really like the renderer and the lights, the idea is very unique, i think it's a great game and it works well !
My points from ~30mins of gametime
-The Main character models is cute and the "Mother" model is also nice, alot of work clearly went into those.
-Having a 3D platformer/tower defense hybrid is not something i have seen before
-Thicc
-the camera that is a bit weird, especially around edges. This did cause a bit of motion sickness for me when jumping the first platform up
-the lack of a HP bar/damage signifier, game over screens would happen before and after i though it made sense
-the attack animation felt very unreliable; mabye the hitbox and animation is out of sync?
Interested in seeing how this project develops further, best of luck!
I like the theming and the mechanics, and the vertical design is interesting. For the character controller, I suggest adding adjustable settings like sensitivity either to this game if you plan to update it or the character controller in general if you plan to re-use it for future projects - I got a little motion sick from playing since the setting was a bit too sensitive for my computer.
We are planing to polish up the game and release a finished product, so the feedback is noted and very welcome!
This reminds me of Deep Rock Galaxy. A fun gameplay system that can be expanded so well! I really like how you designed the mother mushroom!
Mark: this is Scaled to build. ( no )
Thank you!
Great game! Had a lot of fun while playing!
I am glad you enjoyed it!
That was very cute! There could be better feedback on health and damage, but the overall mechanics are competent. The art, especially the character design, is proficient. Good work!
We will definitly adress the lack of feedback the game currently stuggles with.
Really love the art style its the right level of unsettling for a game about feeding mother. Enjoyed playing this great job!
Glad you liked it!
We intend to keep working on the game, and are open to feedback and ideas!
Nice mushroom game! Did you use any for inspiration? XD
We have a folder
This was good fun, although like others have said, it's easy to get game over without realising why!
Unfortunately we didn't have time to implement a UI for when mother-mushroom health-bar :/
We tried to create a sound-cue for when ants are spawning, so I'm assuming a lot of people don't realize a new wave of ants have spawned and they kill the mother-mushroom.
This is some of the apsects we will fix when we further develop it :D
Thanks for playing and thanks for your feedback :)
Cool concept and really great visuals. Needs improvements in some aspect, but overall the game is great. Well done
Really interesting idea, I liked having to balance exploration with the resource collection and how they fed into each-other. Think my only issue was the camera was sometimes a bit finicky, especially against walls. Thought it was a cute touch to have the character scale upwards by climbing. Nice work!
The camera controller sucks! (I'm allowed to say that since I made it xD)
It will be the first thing I fix when we continue working on it! We have great plans for this game :P
Thanks for your feedback! appreciate that you like our idea :D
That's awesome to hear!! best of luck continuing with the project ^^
Interesting game. The big ants really creeped me out (this is a me problem) but exploring the cave was super fun, and the game had a real atmosphere
Very fun concept and if you could polish up some of the animations it would even better. I didnt understand the game over most of the times tough so some indicators would be nice
We are super exited about pushing this game further and polishing it up so your feedback is much appreciated!
Totally agree we should make that clearer and have already bounced some ideas around on how to do just that :D
I liked the general theme and atmosphere. I have a soft mushy spot for mushroom characters. My doctors said to get it looked at by a professional, but the spores it makes are nice. Good game.
You will not be judged for any fungi related mush, we made the game this way because the team unanimously shared the same type of spot that you have.
Very cool core concept!
Cool be excellent with a bit of polishing!
we are very exited to continue to polish Mushroom Sanctuary, and very much intend to deliver!
Cool game and decent models :) Animations would need some polish though. Otherwise decent :)
Now that we arent pressed for time, revising animations and overall polish is the name of the game, thank you for your feedback!
Nice modelling going on!
Thanks!
Cool game. It ran very well and has a cool vibe. I got the game over screen a couple of times without realising it was about to be game over. A bug got my mother mushroom without me realising the first time, not sure what caused game over the second time. I didn't enjoy having to start from the beginning with every death. There were some janky collisions at the invisible wall above the water for both the player and thrown mushrooms. The platforming itself was pretty good overall. It did feel like you should be able to jump on mother mushroom - the flat caps looked like platforms.
Yeaah it's a shame we didn't have time to add colliders and such on mother-tree ;( It would be a great touch to the game :)
I think it's interesting that you mention how it's annoying to die and restart - I think maybe it would be less punishing to start from the wave you lost on. We will take this into consideration when we further develop our game :)
We're also sadly aware of the jankiness and will definetly improve that :D
Thanks for your review, much appreciated! :D
The flat caps are intended to be platforms! We plan to complete the game in our own time so the feedback is much appriciated!
