How does your game fit the theme?
You play as a very small ant on an average-sized coffee table, littered with regular-sized obstacles that, to an ant, are much larger.

Reminds me of ye olde in browser games of yore that we would play in computer lab to avoid working in middle school

aha yeah i know right, that's kinda the vibe we were going for so that's good to hear :p

Really nice, by improving some assets and adding more challenge and objectives it could become an interesting game.

thanks for the feedback! Increasing challenge seems to be a common theme amongst feedback so we'll definitely consider it later on if we develop it further

a really nice gameplay loop of collecting food whilst avoiding this crazy guy who is stamping on his table over 1 ant, the effect of objects bouncing up when near the stomp is really nice. good job :)

Glad you enjoyed our game! Some people just get really annoyed when an ant interrupts their board games :)

thanks for the feedback! perhaps the one crazy guy is overreacting just a little...

xen-oli-th did the bouncing effects!

Loved the polish (mainly bumps of stuff on for different objects) and sound. Simple and chill game.

thanks! we took extra care to make sure that those bumps felt good- especially on the pencil

Simple yet very fun game had a blast! Disagree with with AndresBamb, i think the dificulty curve is really good for a jam game! i get his point because if you die and replay it takes a while to get fun again, so for a full release one might have to thinkl about it but for a jam game i think its quite accesible and nice

its always tricky to balance between accessibility and rewarding gameplay for higher skilled players. this time around we chose to focus on the accessibility side. in hindsight it may have been worthwhile to add a "hard mode" toggle that makes the boots spawn faster. something to consider for future game jams ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really like the graphics of the game. The difficulty increase is too slow though so the fun in the game arrives at least 5 minutes in a run. I'd recommend making the interval between boot stomps faster in the beginning and/or add more obstacles and ways to die. Nice job!

thanks for the feedback!

maybe youre just too good at the game lol

fr tho its tricky to gauge how quickly players will learn how to play the game. we may have underestimated it this time around but we figured it would be better to lean in the direction of accessibility to avoid the risk of alienating players who arent as skilled. ty for the feedback
