Definitely some wackiness with the handhold acquisition, but it really captured that old QWOP charm. Good job!
Ladders: built
Function: Scalable.
This checks out.
This is a really creative and unqie game. I have never seen somthing like this before. 5/5
I like the thinking ; impressive technical implementation in a short time. I had some trouble with locking in the target location. Eventually I ended up balled up on the ladder, looking a bit like a sad sloth reaching out for a branch.
What a technically impressive game!
I like the climbing mechanic, though it felt a bit like moving through molasses with how slow the limbs followed the cursor. Might be a performance issue on my end. It also took me a humorous amount of time to figure out that the fifth point of contact isn't the climber biting the rungs of the ladder, but a safety harness.
Fullscreen being broken also made me click outside the game window a few too many times, but ultimately, really good idea, decently executed, and I could definitely see myself playing through a longer version with some of the kinks ironed out.
This was cool! Would have loved to see a replay of the guy/creature in the end where it climbs the ladder in "real time".
What abomination do we control!! Really interesting art style and quite the alien-esque climbing game!
A pretty tongue in cheek concept. I enjoyed it.
Thanks! I spent a good couple of hours trying a few different prototypes with a scaling grid system, but they just weren't any fun. Then I reread the prompt and realized...oh! yeah that could work
I couldnt manage to keep my dude looking like a dude :(
Sorry to hear...though now I'm wondering if I should force the player to get their dude looking right to beat the level haha
