My favorite part of this game is the fact that you never have to touch the game's main mechanic and that doing so gives a stiff but fair challenge.

Developer

i should've playtested properly 💀

Great aesthetics! I really like the music and art style. It was a bit jarring when the FOV changed while I moved, and definitely I think it would be interesting to explore reasons why not to just scale up every platform to the max.

Developer

i did add a limit to the platforms but they ended up not working when implementing a basic level system

Both my browser and my scrollwheel being "broken" didn't help but I managed to see it working and that's nice.
However, maybe I would've add a little bit of penalty for scaling the platforms, maybe the same platforms are falling platforms after you step on them, or maybe you have a limited "scaling power" that you should optimize to finish. Won't rate because of my hardware limitations (scrollwheel being faulty).

Developer

i did add a limit however the limit didn't apply when finalizing, idk why :/

Oh! What a shame! I believe this has potential, keep going!

i accidently played the game without using the scale and so i played it again with the scale oops. it was really fun both ways i liked the movement and music

I might have missed something, but I couldn't figure out how the scroll wheel could scale the platforms. I also had a hard time reaching the finish. I do have to say the music was pretty nice, good job with that!
Maybe as an improvement, I would have created more levels, each gradually harder, since I had a hard time passing level 1 (but that might have been just me).

You had to look at the top of purple platforms specifically in order to scale with your scrollwheel.

I was intending on adding atleast 5 levels with proper difficulty increasing but due to time constraints i couldn't do so :(

I made the song quite awhile ago (2023, i think), added it in just for the sake of doing so 💀, but thx 💪

Quite nice aesthetics! The gameplay is unfortunately a bit too simple to be challenging or fun.

Developer(+1)

thx, and I 100% agree

If i resume development after the game jam, i'll get to making the gameplay more fun n challenging 💪

A platformer game? No problem! I can do anythi-(sees the small platforms). Oh dear....

I managed to get past the regular platforms, but when I got to the small platform with a huge gap in front of me, I gave up because there was no way for me to make the jump. I'm sorry that you didn't get a chance to finish your game.

Developer

The platforms were made small on purpose, you're required to use your scrollwheel to scale them up, hence the name 'Scale Up'
