As others have said, I think the circuit board system for upgrading is great and very unique! Good luck with the development of your game!

This game is quite fun. I like the circuit board-style upgrade system, I feel like it introduces a lot of potential for interesting builds.

The gameplay itself feels a little empty. You outscale enemies pretty easily so there’s no reason to make an interesting build. I would also like to see more weapon options instead of all the T-junctions. I only saw the orbital strike, which is disappointing compared to default weapon.

The enemy variety is also lacking, I see people mentioning second enemy type, but I newer encountered it.

All that makes it feel like there isn’t enough progression. But with some work, I think it can become a good addition to whatever you do with your main game.

Thank you! \[T]/

Feels like you had no issues understanding how the motherboard works, which given there were no tutorials was a big concern of ours... guess we ended up making it a bit too easy to be on the safe side! XD

Duly noted on progression and weapon variety, the orbital strike also needs a lot more polish to truly shine.

Thanks for all the feedback!

I can see how reusing some of your prior assets and systems helped develop this jam game to this level of content, especially in 48 hours - very impressive.

As many have said it's quite easy, but I enjoyed that. The motherboard system is very interesting. I just wish there was a way to remove the controls nodes that I was not using to make more room for upgrades.

It felt like the second enemy (the ones with guns) didn't display any damage numbers, and played a 'clang' sound when hit - leading me to think they were invincible. But they seem to die?
I was also very unsure of what the metal was used for - it says 'to upgrade mods' but I could not figure out how.

Many thanks! \[T]/

Glad you enjoyed the motherboard system <3
It had to be simplified a bit to fit the Survivor setting we picked for the jam, which meant hiding some menus and the option to remove pieces sadly (as they would go back in said menu).

Unfortunately, the partial invincibility of the gun enemies comes from a small bug we didn't manage to fix in time...

About the metal - when you die the first time the game should bring you to the main menu, where you can go to the "Upgrades" tab and reinforce your mods permanently for the next run. We don't show it at the start because you have no metal for upgrades anyway.

Thanks again for playing!

The modular guns are a lot of fun, base enemies are ok maybe too many towards the end

Noted, thanks!

Just like I said in the main page (Dunno if you look here or there most), the concept of the game is neat. It needs a bit of polish and it could turn into something! Good luck.

Developer

Many thanks!
And we check both pages, so no worries \[T]/
