cool concept, it was a bit hard to control both of them at the same time!

How does your game fit the theme?
Bob can scale along the X-axes and Joe along the Y-axes which is the main mechanic of the game and creates interesting puzzles.

Reminds me a lot of Snipperclips. I enjoyed this one, with some polish I could see myself finishing this game & wanting more.
Very clever and cute idea! Your background art is so beautiful!!! The dual controls are fun. Very nice game!
Feel free to check out my game, Tinker Escape :)
Really nice game concept, and I love the level selection screen idea. The game has a good level of difficulty, which makes it both fun and challenging.
Very nice, good puzzle platformer. I love the humor in their expressions, music is relaxing. one bug I encountered when I exit to main menu and go back to game it just freezes in place, the level end ui isnt fully polished. Otherwise no complaints pretty good.
I was so concentrated on the game that I activated the special keys several times. The mechanic is original and really well developed
Good job!
Really nice concept, my brain is melting due to the double controls but it was great! Loved the animation and style
I don't think the game likes my monitor's aspect ratio (8:5) The left and right edges of the game were cut off, took me a while to notice there's a separate end for Joe in the very first level of the game.
After changing the pc resolution in the settings (to fit a more common aspect ratio of 16:9) I've been able to see the rest of the level. (tried this after completing the game demo)
That brought me to a question what would happen if I made my aspect ratio 9:16 and this happened (The screenshot is oriented in a way how I saw it on my screen, the right side of the image is the bottom side of how my computer saw it):
Sorry for making a giant comment with these screenshots, just wanted to show what bug I found (probably some unity thing I won't understand anytime soon).
Anyways, amazing game! Great name choices ;)
Nahw Thank you so much, so glad you had fun and want to keep playing, that means a lot!!
We participated in this jam initially because I (Kim and person who keeps replying to these comments) wanted to understand and experience what my partner (whose name is on the Itch account) does for his study (game development). I had a really good time, a lot of fun and learned a lot about unity, tilemaps, coding (the buttons were (mostly) all me woohooo), etc. so you will definitely see us participating again ;). And we decided to keep working on this game as a way for me to learn more about coding and games. So updates will definitely be coming but they might not be as thick and fast since apparently I first need to learn how to code... :)
Very cute art style and characters! I liked the puzzles and that you could play two player on each end of the keyboard. Good job!
Characterization is perfect, I loved bob & joe from the moment I saw them on the thumbnail, thats a lesson on how to give “soul” to a puzzle game. Art is also on point. Gameplay is really challenging and fun, but the difficulty curve is a little unballanced. This has great potential for multiplayer also. Congrats!!
Nice work with this game - I love the characters, and how the gems are specifically colour coded for each of them! The silhoutte foregrounds and dreamy watercolour backgrounds really give it a unique look. Fun puzzles, too, and definitely fun to play with two people at the keyboard. Nice job!
I like that you put an extra mile to create interesting idea for a level selection rather than a boring grid of numbers :)
The ideas for levels were fine, but I think that I'd rather have less levels fuller with clever solutions rather than this many (but maybe that's just me :)).
Oh, and also - the game desperately needs some audio besides music (like for scaling the characters, pushing buttons and collecting gems), it would make a huuuge difference.
Ah thank you for playing our game and all your good feedback! None of us are very familiar with audio design so it was a bit of a struggle. We did have a cool idea that the scaling would play notes on a music scale (different one for each character) but we tried to implement the one on a piano and it sounded really off. We tried to look for something different but it was cutting it very close to the deadline so we decided to just leave it out sadly enough.
I loved the audio in your game so if you have any suggestions how to implement this well please feel free to let us know :)
have the different shapes be characters was FRESH, and they were cute :3 the climbing felt a little janky, but the ideas were good and you executed on them well!
Cute character art! It was little difficult since I had to memorize many keys, but the concept really fits well with the theme scale.
Very fun game! the puzzles are very interesting. I guess that for a solo player it is a bit difficult to remember scale keys for each of the characters haha but it really has a lot of potential as a co-op game! I liked the art and the music!
