It was quite hard to master! Maybe start with an easier level or a tutorial? Overall, a very cool idea<3
Hard to control, I think the NPCs move way to fast. It takes some time to get the hang of it, but over all the game has great potential! Great job!
I find this game quite hard to control. It’s not always clear when you can place something and when you can’t. Camera can move away and make you misplace an object. And I’m pretty sure canon guys can destroy a preview of an object you want to place, making you need to select it again.
I think it wasn’t such a big problem, if you wasn’t limited for time. If your guy could just stand and chill when they get to the highest point until you build more platforms, instead of jumping down to their doom, the game would be more enjoyable to control.
But with some polish, I think it has potential. Good job!
I like the concept and art style, but the rules for placing tiles work strange for me :( I don't get why I can't connect two wooden platforms with a ladder, but can only place ladder on places where they connect to nothing.
Also it would be great to have objects binded to hotkeys, because the game is too intense to do it all by mouse.
But idea is great, sounds are great, animations are cool, with a bit more polished controls it could become something wonderful.
Thanks for the critiques! I wasn't able to get much play testing done.
Their was a big with bug stacked ladders that broke the soldiers AI that I didn't have time to fix, so I just made it so you couldn't stack them):
I'm actually able to beat the game pretty easily with the mouse, but I've also had a lot of practice, so I can keep hotkeys in mind for future games.
I absolutely love this concept! The game is super hectic which I love. Great work!
Such a great idea and interpretation of the theme. Loved the wind effect and music, really added to the vibe.
That is challenging! I tried several times and got close to the top. Great concept. I really enjoyed just building and watching the units scale up the wall. Fun. Can I use game-play of this game on a video?
Totally!
I really dig the art but the gameplay is a bit too hard for me. You really need to have high apm lol
King is a Lie!
Love the art style 5/5

It takes a moment to get into the rythmn of the game, but I entered a sort of trance state once I did XD
I managed to get to the King at the top (loved him cowering) but my knight who got there didn't go over to him. Was I meant to do something extra at that point?
Either way, a really fun game. The animations are brilliant, decent challenge, and a great idea. The only thing that would quickly improve it really is some more impact with sfx. It'd be great if, for example, there was wind that built up when you got close to the top to add to the sense of how far you've climbed.
Yeah, that's a bug I couldn't fix in time. The soldiers don't target the king, and they are behind the layer of the top portion of the wall
This was one of our rejected ideas cos we couldn't think how to do it. You did it so well. Nice job!
Thanks!
I love the art style. The gameplay is fun, but a little confusing at first
