Awesome use of simple mechanics and really polished. It's really hard but super fun! I like the simplistic art as well. I think the strategy is to circle the enemies in small mode then when they are grouped together, you mow them down in the large mode. :D

I liked the balance in this game, each form has its pros and cons. Overall pretty enjoyable gameplay!

Cool game idea !

I had a lot of fun trying to reach the last wave, but I still have a bit of a hard time controlling my character near the borders, maybe it is because the recoil is a bit too strong of my default movement speed a bit too slow ? But also it is what it makes the game difficult and fun so .... I may just be bad :D

Good job on this game, loved it :)

Cute game! Simple but very well made and very polished. The game reminds me of "Just shapes and beats" but that might just be the color scheme. Good job, this is one of the few submissions that feels like a complete game!!!

Perfect example of a simple concept polished to perfection. I had a blast balancing damage output with avoiding the spikes as I was constantly sent hurtling towards the walls with every burst. I can tell there was a lot of care put into game feel, as the stretching of enemies as they take damage, and the screen shake on kill go a long way to making every action feel extremely satisfying.

Really good use of limited assets to get a well defined style. The gameplay was fun! Good submission

You got a lot of graphical mileage out of primitive shapes, love to see it! I loved how every mechanic felt like it was multi-purpose.

  • I need to shoot enemies to destroy them so I don't get overwhelmed -- but I need to be mindful of my position whenever I shoot.
  • I could use my own recoil to move more quickly to get out of a jam-- but not too much because I might run into a wall.
  • I could shoot-to-shrink to squeeze through a gap-- but not too much because then I can't shoot at all.

Everything was on this very delicate tightrope. Very nicely done!

you can never go wrong with a good topdown shooter, and the recoil combined with the playerscaling in a really nice touch. Mabey have it increase the recoil the smaller you are, and have less when you are big?
