Well this is just wonderful. Lots of fun and looks great!
This is a Very Cool Game :D
This is such a creative game, I loved the graphic too. Great job! (but It's a bit hard to determine what size is enough)
Thanks! I had originally planned to have different sprites for each size, but that ended up being too far out of scope, lol.
I really liked that you got different abilities based on the current scrap level! neat lil puzzler, I do wonder if letting the player drop scrap anywhere on the level instead of set points could be used for some pressure plate puzzles as well, since it'd feel more convenient too. Really nice work on the art, and overall a great entry!
I originally had an idea to do that, but I thought against it because growing in size isn't bound to a key or given an input. I thought that giving shrinking a keybind would feel strange compared to how growing in size works, but it isn't a bad idea. Letting the player drop scrap anywhere could have some interesting puzzle potential!
Pretty graphics, fun idea, lots of potential! I found the wall jump hard to pull of reliably which made the game somewhat frustrating when I wanted to focus on the grow/shrink puzzle aspect.
There's a wall-jump? I beat the entire game without knowing that was a possibility!
I didn't program in a wall jump, so you might have been using the double jump while you're small enough.
Probably, which explains why I found it hard to pull off reliably. I went back and tried again and unfortunately I'm still having a hard time to reliably to double jumps... probably mostly a me issue but I once again felt a little sad, I really wanted to beat this game, it's so pretty and the grow/shrink mechanics has great puzzle potential! :-)
Personally I'd skip the mechanical challenge posed by double jumps, it seems mostly redundant with a single jump height difference.
I really like this mechanic! But it was kinda punishing to realize I had picked up too much scrap and was too heavy jump so I had to reset the whole level. Nice game overall though.
Nice game, but lacks a few polishing touches. The scrap platform blends in with the environment and the pipes in the background, and I would prefer a little color indication on when the little robot has certain abilities, and make them incremental instead of progressive. I didn't finish the game, but still had some fun, thank you!
Thanks for the feedback!
