I had a great time and the music was meditative. I got really stuck lol.

Beautiful visuals -- love the llama and the color palette. This pulling/scaling twist on the classic sokoban is a great idea, nicely done!

Developer

Thank you!! was def inspired by bitsy games, just in a bit of a higher resolution (the whole games resolution ended up being centered around 32x32 specifically because of the llama sprite aha). Really glad you enjoyed the stretching boxes mechanic!

Submitted(+1)

Simple but fun puzzle mechanic. I enjoyed it!

Genuinely really fun puzzle game. Trying to solve the puzzles while still being able to access the exit door was satisfying. The only thing I think it needs is an undo button similar to Baba Is You. Really fit the theme

Developer

Thank you! definitely agree with you with the undo button, was something I really wanted to add but wasn't able to with how the game was built/time-frame. Glad you enjoyed it regardless ^^

Submitted(+1)

Oh this is just delightful :) I love the colour scheme and the simplicity of the levels, the sprites are so nice :) Easy to play a game like this for hours, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! Really glad you enjoyed it ^^

Copying from the itch.io page:
"Got the carrot!

Charming, simple yet so effective. The visual style is such a great choice for the jam, allowing you to create something fast yet with complete polish. The puzzles had the perfect quality of looking obvious at first, leading you to a dead end, and then giving you that "aha" moment.

One thing I'd change is to say "stretch" the boxes instead of "pull" the boxes. I didn't realize you can compress the boxes down until the very last puzzle."

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! One thing I really liked about the jam this year was the longer time-frame, really gave me time to polish up the visual style and have breathing room for level design without feeling stressed.

Ahhhh yeah that makes sense, apologies! Should've shown off the squishing of boxes in the thumbnail gif as well, I'll alter the description to include that; since obfuscating that ability isn't meant to be the challenge. Thank you for the feedback, I'm really glad you enjoyed playing!

What a challenging game, with cleverly thought-out puzzles! The first one was a bit difficult until you wrapped your head around it and became visually aware of the stretching function~ Afterwards things started to click for the rest! Great minimalistic style and LLAMA!!

Developer

Oh thank you! I think I really should have made the mechanic a bit more obvious in the first level, even some text on screen just to indicate whats possible. Thank you for sticking with it, and ABSOLUTELY!! YOU'RE GETTIN AT LEAST 120% LLAMA OUT OF THIS ONE!!! :100:

I loved your take on the theme here. The visuals were minimalistic but crisp too.

Developer(+1)

Oh thank you! was def trying to evoke a kind of Bitsy style with the 2 frame animations and 3 colour palette, slightly miffed since I ended up going for a bigger resolution so I could render the player character in more detail, it made the game a lot harder to read than the initial drafted tile-set. The concept below would have looked a lot cleaner I think. I'm really glad you liked the stretching boxes too!

Submitted(+1)

That's super interesting. Thanks for sharing all that detail.

Submitted(+1)

I was totally shocked by the concept of your game. Full of creativity one .

Developer

Thank you!! I spent the whole first day trying to think of concepts, was about to give up since i'd used a 1/4th on the time on nothing, and at 8am the next morning "sokoban but you can stretch the boxes" was just good enough of an idea to get me out of bed. Really glad I was able to hack it together in time, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

That was clever! It's simple and to the point; challenging and fair. Also, the main character is cute. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm really glad the mechanic hit all those points; big llama fan over here ^^

Submitted(+1)

The aesthetics are lovely. The colour palette lets you very easily distinguish floor, player, movable tiles etc.

The controls are sharp and so is the level design. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much! Love minimalist palettes, was def trying to evoke some bitsy theming here with the 3 colours and 2 frame animation. I'm really glad you enjoyed playing!<3

Submitted(+1)

Nice simple and fun! Some stages were quite challenging, well done!

very cool puzzle mechanic, it led to really interesting puzzles, which made me think a couple of times, also just the act of pulling boxes was really goofy and fun, especially since im a lamma. which is very important.
Really fun game, good job!

if you wana try out my brother's game its here https://aviv-youker-harel.itch.io/scales-of-olympus

It gives me Baba is you vibes 🎉
Interesting concept and well designed puzzles: I truly enjoyed it. It could really benefit from an undo/redo mechanic imho.

Developer

Thank you so much! extremely high praise to get the baba comparison. Completely agree about the undo button, unfortunately didn't build the game in a way where it's very possible (would have needed early adoption of a command pattern or similar mechanism). If I ever go back to this it's the #1 one thing on the list to add ^^

Submitted(+1)

The box stretch mechanic is such a killer idea, I am just stupid and was stuck on the first puzzle for so long (till I realized you demo'ed the first puzzle in a gif! Awesome art, great puzzles!

Developer

AH right, I probably could have explained the mechanic better in the description/first level, sorry about that! I'm really glad you persisted and enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

I love how the puzzles incorporate pushing and pulling, excellent use of both mechanics

Submitted(+1)

Good puzzle game! Used the theme well to create an engaging Sokoban-style game. I think the controls could be a bit smoother, like being able to hold down a key to keep moving.

But I did manage to secure the carrot at the end!

Developer(+1)

Definitely agree! unfortunately the hold-to-move I left pretty late in development and couldn't get it working in time, something to add later. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and Congratulations!

Submitted(+1)

Really nicely put together!

I like how simple it feels to play while still making me scratch my head. I would love to be able to see where the buttons are even when they're covered up though. Felt a little bit like I needed a first run at the level just to figure out what to do and never managed to really "first try" anything

Developer(+1)

That's reasonable! I'm a big fan of hiding the buttons, it's a fun "gotcha" but I might've overused it aha. Really glad it managed to pose a challenge, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Great game!!

Submitted(+1)

Super creative and mechanic heavy puzzles. The environment is a little too red for my taste but that might just be me. Overall, a super good game.

Developer

Thank you! wanted to push the mechanic as far as I could on it's own without adding extra elements, glad it made for some good levels ^^
