It is a fun game, and as I read the other comments it's the first jam you made a game for, that's nice, for a first game, I would just work on giving more information to the player and make the eating faster, just so we don't waste too much time in the animations

Developer

Thanks for playing! :)

In fact, this is my third jam game :) I couldn’t bring the first one to a playable state, the second one was published by my partner with whom I made it :)

In the future we will add an indication with sounds and particles, and we will rework the entire eating process :)

I got to here before I called it quits. Looks like these cowards like to hide in the corners instead of attacking, so it feels like I could have gone on indefinitely. There's definitely a seed of an interesting game with some risk/reward of leaving yourself vulnerable while eating and could've been fun with some better feedback/polish and more aggressive behavior from the guards.

Thanks for playing!

Lol, it is realy cowards! xD

In fact, yes, this is a behavior bug that we will definitely fix when we complete the full game, thanks for the feedback!

I think i had a bug, I couldn't get past the first room because eating the scientist guys just took forever sometimes. Well done on making a game!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Hmm, we'll check out the eating mechanics :)

It's a funny idea, I just didn't understand when I would get hit. Good job.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Indeed, it’s not entirely clear when you’ll get hit, we just didn’t have time to display it :P

This is a really cool concept, the artwork looks great and the idea is super simple to understand. I appreciated that you start the player off in a room which can't hurt them so that they have time to learn how to play the game, that was a smart choice ! Great work :)

Thanks for playing! :)

Oh yes, you noticed that at the beginning humans really can’t harm the player until he understands what’s what, we’re pleased :)

Echoing here, but welcome to the jam world, congrats on finishing! I hope you keep doing them.

I think my feedback is that the game needs a little more feedback as to what is happening like when I hit people there is no bar to tell me that they are taking damage and eating there is no bar or blood effects or shrinking enemy to show that I'm making progress.

I like the animations, I really like them and I think that they added a lot to the game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! :)
Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to add sounds and particles to the game, it would have been much cooler and more informative with them :(

If this is your first posted game, that's great! Welcome to game jams. It's a nifty little game. I'd say it's a little lacking in mechanics, though. First minute or so pretty much reveals everything you're doing. It played without any major bugs for me though, which is good.

Developer

Thanks! :)
I agree that the game has quite few mechanics, it's all because my teammate and I couldn’t devote enough time to the game.

We plan to add a lot more :)
