I managed to beat the game without anything scary happening... maybe it's the game dev brain knowing how things work then playing smartly (seeing noise = danger) or maybe i was just lucky because danger did get up to >200 at one point

yep! bug found in the last hour of the jam with failure detection.

Really digging the presentation here. Found it hard to figure out how to actually get started but when I did i found some unique puzzles. Very interesting!

I there's think some genuine potential for good puzzles here!

Oh i didn't know about the secret scaling buttons so I played the game as intended :) This scaling feels like an interesting alternative to the super mario bros health mechanic!

The screaming when you fall is really funny. I managed to get softlocked on the same slope at the top the first leg twice

I think i had a bug, I couldn't get past the first room because eating the scientist guys just took forever sometimes. Well done on making a game!

I probably wasn't getting it but I could never get past the first day? Don't know if something wasn't being communicated properly but it seemed to require a lot of luck for success. I did enjoy the feel of hitting the weapons though!

Really makes you feel like you're working an office job. Very atmospheric setting although it was a bit hard to read the cards at times.

The crosshair had me trying to target them with the keyboard instead of just clicking on them. Game made a lot more sense when i actually clicked them with my mouse

(1 edit)

success detection is making sure all objects are within a lower area without touching a smaller area right above the line. failure checks if any object has rotated 90 or more, or if anything touches the ground that wasn't there already. thanks for playing!!!

Really cool to see a custom engine, love the flattened expansion, stylistically this is full of whimsy. Good job

OOh i really like this gimmick, lots of potential and the puzzles already here are fun too! Although i did get stuck on a level with a big overhang

oooh this was great fun, scrabbling around to trying fix wounds as they open is really exciting. it's a shame the controls were a little strange but it seems like a very difficult situation to work around so good job!

I found the car a little difficult to control (speaking as someone that has made a difficult to control car in a jam game before), But I really love the concept, going a bit slower so you can be small enough to take a shortcut is really cool!

Cool to see another game with buildings made from precariously stacked physics objects! I think the asteroids come in a little to fast to react to, and at one point I had two come at the same time.

Sad to see the energy system wasn't finished. I hate not being able to get important things done on time. Keep it up though!

Cool mechanic, cute art, did get me thinking a bit too! I think the meter showing the water (?) would have made more sense as a single scale instead of the negative/positive sort of thing

yes! definitely some flash game influence on this. that and jenga

Loved the art! Gameplay I found pretty hard, felt impossible to attack the enemies fast enough, unless I was missing something.

Nice fun! lots of charm, I wish there was a scoring system to see how well I did but i know I saw some dragons.

Cool to see this genre showing up in jams now! This game had me wondering about the point of some upgrades, and I wish the weapons weren't left to pure chance, but it was fun to scale up and devour thousands of innocent (?) people

very cool! I wonder if the punch controls could be done differently? It was slightly awkward to shift the mech to the side to get a punch but maybe that's all part of the wobbly charm

i found myself getting a little bored waiting for the protag to get through and just wanted to get to the epic confrontation, but it's a neat concept and a fun tower defence type thing put together well!

love this idea, it really hit the feeling of trying to coordinate cameras for something like this

wonderful concept, would be great to see fleshed out more, like having to keep your bars up. I love the way the UI looks though

oooh this is neat! it's a little frustrating to get hit while keeping track of the projectiles but very fun overall

funny concept, you don't need to hear about the hitboxes again i'm sure. it'd be kinda funny and maybe useful to incorporate the "spot the protagonist" meme where everyone you're meant to hit has a much more vibrant design than the background characters?

very difficult game, i think because you're meant set everything on fire but it also damages you. I did quite enjoy exploding police cars but i do wish you could move in more than 4 directions

seems like itch has fixed the issue now! i was worried for a bit but i wasn't the only one affected

fun twist on a genre I enjoy! sadly the leaderboard wouldn't accept input for me to join it but i got 203.

this is similar to games i've played in previous gmtk's, however it is quite well executed. in terms of theme i found the role reversal doesn't exactly let the player actually experience a new role entirely since i know many games that let you control the gun in the same way while moving normally. it's quite fun dodging bullets and getting the powerups.

Neat idea! I'd like to see feedback for anything that happens in this game but I see the potential for strategy

This is the closest to my own idea I've seen from the jam, cool stuff!

I like the idea of missing an enemy rolling the dice for another effect but with a chance to be either positive or negative it feels like it does nothing on average. Great job on the graphics and music!

Hmm that sounds like the I've seen, I probably should have included screenshots for reference

This is the the first game (other than my own) I've seen to have weapons as the dice faces instead of numbers. I really liked the variety of weapons and how different their gameplay is but sadly I couldn't beat that last boss.

There are a lot of games like this in this jam but I really appreciate the simplification to 3 colours. Neat game.

Very  cute! took me a while to get but once I did I understood perfectly

Easily the best russian roulette game i've played, more depth here than i realised. Great art and music too!
