Short fun game, wished there wasn't a chance to roll nothing as I feel like that limited the game design to have that limitation to be able to be beat without any powers. I was able to ignore most powers and just play powerless. Enjoyable game still though!

Good proof-of-concept with a solid implementation of the theme. Was a little unclear how to use the abilities at first, but just needs a bit more contextual tutorialization. Would be cool to add a few more environmental puzzles or alternate routes that require the use of certain abilities as well (could add some replay value). Well done :)

Pretty fun game and an interesting idea! I really like the art and the sound effects fit in well! Though it is kind of annoying that you could only shoot/slash down, I wish you can attacked in the direction you went in. Also the ideas for the abilities aren't really that different, the pyro and cryo are basically the same attack, other than that, the game is really fun and has pretty good replayability! Pretty impressive for a first game jam!

man this was very fun! keep it up

It was quite fun, however the theme seemed tacked on at the end, as an extra, optional feature, as I was able to complete it without using the dice. The game was fun, and the art was great though!

I can see how the feature might feel a bit out of place or optional. I feel like that's mostly due to the level design rather than the mechanic itself, as there is a chance of getting nothing when the dice rolls, so I had to make each level possible without using the power-up. But I'm happy you found it fun and thank you for playing and rating!

Nice game! I like the minimal art style and the concept was pretty good too. As others have said, I wish that the enemy movement can be improved. It would also be interesting to see different kinds of enemies that have unique ways to move (like one could move two spaces instead of one, or one that could slide from one point to another), as well as a way to somewhat aim towards enemies. Other than that, great work! Had a fun time playing.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I agree with what you said about the enemies, as I actually had 2 unused enemies that would have been in the jam version. One of them would move 2 spaces at a time like you said and the other would move 1 space every other turn, but I was working in the free version of construct 3, so I was limited in what I could implement. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Very cool concept and nice visuals.

Great presentation. As you said on stream the enemy ai could use some work but overall good job.

the idea of a different weapon for every room is a cool idea! pixel art is cute too!

The art was very good

Good movement and SFX. Only things to work on are adding proper AI to the enemies, pitch variation on sfx and some music.

Otherwise please make more levels :)

Developer

Yeah I fully agree, all of those were in my initial scope, but sadly working as a solo team and using the free version of construct 3 really limited what I could do in the jam time limit. I will make a post jam version with updates for sure though.
