featured dice mage in my video!

Submitted (1 edit)

liked it, but enemies are a bit OP (specially the one dashes into me! ) they are crazy (# ̄ω ̄)

also it's was a neat idea to get every roll a certain attack, but if the roll was before i shoot, so i know what I'm actually shooting, it would have added some strategy to what i roll

Liked the art, however you need to make it crisp since it's pixel rt (maybe try disabling Interpolate space between pixels

Good job! .. like it.. keep it up! (*¯︶¯*)

Thanks for the feedback.  You can actually control what you want to roll pressing space, If you shoot the dice press space, you can choose what you want, and then you can press it again to combo an effect. Like using 4 to have multiple dices and then explode all of then at once.

Nice little bullet hell game! The luck control mechanic felt good, but the way dice were regained felt sorta awkward- I feel like I would've enjoyed a slow regen over having to track them down. Good work!

It's an interesting game. I found myself quickly overwhelmed, so I'm not sure it's balanced, but it was neat. Since it's a fixed number of (max) dice, I was expecting to be able to pick the dice back up after firing, so it took me a bit to realize the dice respawned randomly. It was also fairly difficult to keep track of what each value represented, so it might have been nice if the dots were replaced with symbolic symbols. Otherwise, it was pretty neat.

I liked the concept, but you definitely needed to change these import settings on your pixel art, because they are blurry as hell :D

Nice game. Graphics and music went well. I had fun playing it so well done.

The dice mechanics are inyeresting and fun to play around.
If you continue working on it you could make a real gem.
also the music is nice and the artstlye iyou are going for is pretty good.
keep it up :)

Very interesting mechanics at play. I wish it wasn't on a D6, I wish you had used D8's instead and have 8 be maybe a screen clear but it rolls much faster and damages you a little maybe. I liked the pace of the game, and the variance of two enemies. I didn't really find a need to use the luck control mechanic, but it was neat in some corner cases.

Thanks for the review! I mean the luck control is really op as you can roll a bunch of 4's to multiply the dice and the roll a 6 to explode them all, or do the same thing with a two for exemplo to heal to full

Fair, though path of least resistance has me and probably some other players result in just spamming, not that that's not fun mind you :P

overall fun game ^-^

Very interesting! The concept is pretty neat and incorporates the dice theme really well. SFXs are clean and responsive and the splash art of the game is beautiful. But I want to mention a few possible improvements. The first thing I noticed is that the score scaled too fast, after a few seconds I stopped paying attention to it completely. Another thing I would like to change is my health: it is way too generous so I didn't focus on dodging attacks at all. And the dice mechanics is fun but complex, so you might want to spend some resources building a proper tutorial (if time permits of course). Overall for a jam entry, this is pretty neat! Good work!

yeah, now I realize I should've made a better tutorial, also the damage enemies do actually scales with time so it's only in the beginning that it's generous.
