It's a cute game but was a bit hard. but looks like that's what you wanted so it's okay. the only thing is, Why doesn't the power of the jump depend on the numbers on the dice? that would be cool. good game anyway.
Thanks for the comment! I felt like if the jump power depended on the number of the dice, the game would be too heavily carried by rng (then again, I might be wrong, idk). But I appreciate your feedback nonetheless!
well, it's your game. there is no right or wrong :)
Pretty simple game concept but executed well! The level design was quite hard but still fun. I think more checkpoints will be good though.
Would love if you can check out my game too. Thanks!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, the game probably needed a few other checkpoints. I think my goal was to make this game hard since it's a rage game but forgot to make the game more beginner friendly.
Well, anyways, thanks for the feedback!
Wow, this is a pretty good game! It's really complicated, but still interesting! I can only advise you to add something like level bonuses, or something to make the gameplay a little more dynamic! Btw, cool job, dude! :D
Thanks! I suppose what you mean by level bonuses are collectables that you can collect or an extra level to complete? I suppose that would make the game more interesting so I'll keep that in mind for future games.
This game is quite hard, reminds me The World's Hardest Game with its minimalistic art style and punishing difficulty. I think you could have put more checkpoints and your game lacks some juice with more feedbacks, particles, sounds, etc. Overall well done!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, the game was actually inspired by the World's Hardest Game (Stick with it) so I suppose that's a good thing that it reminded you of it, but like you and many others have already stated, the game is probably a bit too hard.
I wasn't so focused on the sounds and the particles since I was mainly focusing on level design and the difficulty of it (probably didn't try enough though since it might be still too hard), which is why the game lacks a lot of it.
Well, anyways, thanks for playing and I am very grateful for you feedback.
so i've been playing a couple game jam games. so far this is one of the ones i've spent the most time playing! this game is punishingly hard haha i got frustrated and closed it after not being able to get to the second checkpoint haha but honestly i want to go back already and keep trying. would be cool if the dice number affected the power. i loved the ability to change your dice and the dice color too! what a great little flavor note. a lot of games are just the bare bones but you did a great job making this full and playable game. v nice
Thanks! Yeah, another person also said the game might be a bit too hard. I suppose the dice number affecting the jump power might be cool, but then that creates a line of rng and skill which I think would make the game too hard. But still, thanks for your feedback :D
Nice game! I thought the number on the dice affected the power of my shot but it doesn't seem so. Fun tho! :)
Thanks! Yeah, the number does nothing. Just a thing I added to further enforce the "rolling dice" aspect. (Although looking back at it now, that might have been a bad idea).
This is hard. I knew I'm screwed when I barely cleared the first jump. The level design is pretty great, I just wish it was adjusted more towards people who've never played the game. Otherwise though the game works well, once you get used to it the mechanic feels natural which I think is hard to pull off. Deserves more ratings, I liked it -@h
Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I just submitted the game when I felt the difficulty was ok (this was probably a bad idea since I'm the one who made the mechanics and know how they work) so it's probably harder than I'd hope. I'll keep this in mind when play testing my future games and again, thanks for your reply.
