Appreciate it!

Thank you!

Very humorous and silly game! I loved the jokes and diverted expectations about the monster. I would have loved to hear the monster have some silly garbled voice as the words typed out (similar to Octodad) and some sound effects to make a more complete experience. Overall though, excellenntttt job on the art and game!! :)

The art and music definitely stood out the most for your game! You did an excellent job making a fun retro feeling game. I think in ways it could have been a bit more intellectually engaging, but for what it is, it is really well done! Great job :)

You’re right with the comment about using the keyboard to reset! We’ll be sure to implement that!! And I’m glad that it got challenging for you! Thanks for playing and the review!

Wow! This is a really well made and polished game! It almost felt like a suitable game for kids to learn to read and follow instructions! The story of fun and acting was cute. Great job :)

The levels just increase in difficulty until day five! We would have loved to put more variations in, but you know how time can be 😉

The intense darker vibe was supposed to actually contrast the cute plushie vibe, but I think the harsh transition made it feel disjointed, so you’re right on that!

And yes! It’s supposed to be like you’re hiding with the others! Thanks for playing!

I really liked having to be the score keeper, but def made me have to use my noggin’ quite a bit! I would have loved to just see the rules getting more and more wild! You really embraced the theme well and created a solid experience. Great job :)

WOWWWW, This was such a well made and entertaining game!! I loved the moment when I began to discover that keys actually did things!! I think the concept of trying to figure out a complex control panel makes for such an incredible game!! You did an excellent job. Great job :)

Beep boop 😂

Wowww, that’s incredible how you were able to effectively swap the roles of the player and the environment! We had thought of the idea, but it just seemed near impossible to implement! Even you AI is incredibly impressive! I loved the natural sound effects too!! Overall, great game!

Wow, that game really had an interesting vibe to it! The music was off-putting but somehow really fit the theme! You did really well to make it feel similar to a classic game. Overall, great job! :)

Definitely one of the best games I’ve played so far! Loved the consistent beat throughout and the cleaning skates were just a nice drum line overtop. This game was super polished and well made!! The camera movement had me tripping for a moment, but I eventually got used to it. Very difficult though!! The iron run was hardddddddd. Overall, great game! :)

Reviewed! Great job :)

You did really well at creating an atmosphere that compels the player to continue searching! It was cool finding the new lifeforms and recording them, reminded me a lot of Subnautica! Overall, it is a great starting place for a future game! I would love to see upgrades and dangers be incorporated into the exploration. I think I found the end of the map as well btw, because I just wandered into a large abyss and it was just empty 🤷‍♂️ Also, the cutscene backgrounds were confusing and I didn’t really know what I was looking at. THAT VOICE OVER THO 🤩 Great job on the game overall! You guys did really well :)

Rated! great job!! Very beautiful game :)

Wow, the art stood out above all on this game, absolutely amazing. The gameplay was cool and engaging as well! I enjoyed the combo attacks on enemies and the dashing mechanic really made the game feel a lot more skill driven! As said below, the controls were a bit tricky. Also, a few times I found myself having to kill myself due to missing a jump and not being able to do another attempt due to the zipline being used already. Overall, it was a very cool narrative driven platformer that definitely looked beautiful. Great Job :)

Reviewed! Great job :)

Background music and atmosphere you did a great job on creating! I also really appreciated the main character’s sprite and animation! It was slick and had a fun vibe. I would have appreciated some direction (just a npc) in the beginning of the game to really start off the adventure. Overall though, great job :)

Great job on making a solid experience! It felt thought through and very complete in many ways! As listed below, I also wasn’t able to talk to the shop owners (I just assumed you weren’t able to get the feature done in time). Nevertheless, it was a great game! I would have loved to see a feature that would make it stand out in comparison to the many other games of this style, but as what it is, you did very well. Also! I loved your music choices and the changes to create mood. Overall, great game! :)

I loved the feeling and flow of the game! The simplicity of just making choices was very fun. However, about 25 turns in it started to feel a bit narrow in gameplay. I didn’t have much choice and the events started to become repetitive (I even sadly stopped reading them at one point). Maybe upping the challenge a bit, and making events that require more thought and decision making would be beneficial! Great job overall though! I loved the humor used through out (the scooby doo reference was hilarious) 😂

Hey! This year we were able to compile a team of 14 programmers to create a game in a really interesting method! Each of the fourteen days only one programmer was allowed to work on the project, so it ended up becoming a sort of telephone-like programming style. You can see it here: https://higgaion-games.itch.io/rumbo

Definitely a cool experience! Nevertheless, we have fourteen people now who are rating games!

So we have plenty of opportunity to rate your games if you’d want to drop a comment below with a link! Thanks!

This was absolutely the best game I’ve ever played from a game jam. The full experience was amazing and truly left me satisfied and in awe of what you guys were able to complete in the ten days!! The graphics were amazing, the atmosphere, music, and sfx, were all spot on. The story was awesome. AND the puzzle itself was so well made and the perfect amount of complexity and challenge. As I filled the book up with all the details of symbols and aspects, I was just blissfully enjoying all the thought going into it! I even ended up drawing out the pentagram on paper and writing each symbol down as I went to be sure I did everything correctly! Sadly.. I failed the first time because I didn’t realize I was a witch!! But I think that info was in the introduction and it didn’t click for me. But the second time was easy peasy! Loved the endings (I chose to let him free), loved the books, loved all of it. Amazing job guys, and I really hope you end up winning this!

Thank you!

<3 Ty :)

I really enjoyed the game :) If you haven’t already, would you be able to try out our game and give it some feedback as well? We’d definitely value your opinion and love to see what we can do better on!

No problem! I really enjoyed the game :) If you haven’t already, would you be able to try out our game and give it some feedback as well? We’d definitely value your opinion and love to see what we can do better on!

ok

I really enjoyed this game! You did really well to use humor and and introduction to really make this game feel well-rounded and professional! I would have loved levels of some sort with different kernel configurations, but this alone was fun enough for me to try to beat my previous score multiple times! Great job :)

Wow, really thought the reverse stock buying idea was unique and cool! I enjoyed buying and then the sudden drop being exactly what I wanted, but just like the real stock market, it seemed to always do the opposite of what I wanted haha. Anyway, you did a great job making a pretty good stock simulator on a fun and fresh premise. One issue I would suggest fixing is that the game didn’t scale with my screen nor when I went full screen. I believe just adding a camera object to the main scene should fix this!

Overall, great job :)

I think this game has embraced the theme the best so far! I really loved the simplicity of your game, yet it still made me think so much!! This is a super relatable experience and I found it to be almost soothing in a way, as if I was sorting through what matters to me and I consistently found myself thinking about the clutter of items I keep around. Great game, for realzees :)

This was a very very aesthetically pleasing game! I enjoyed the vibe and the art a lot. The gameplay itself was a bit simple, but I think that was partially on purpose as it was supposed to be more of a chiller experience. Couple issues with the foreground loading in a bit late, and sometimes it just wasn’t possible to reach the leaves on time, but overall great job!

Surprisingly fun, right??

YEAHHHHH I BEAT IT WOOOOOOO!O!!O!O!O!

Wow, that last level had me about to have a stroke haha. Someone must have smeared butter all over the platforms, cause boy oh boy were they slippery.

Hey! Great game though! I really enjoyed the creativity that you put into this project. It was actually quite enjoyable compared to many of the other games (even many of the more polished games as well!)

I think one thing that could benefit you in the future is working with an artist! One of the biggest downsides of your game was that many of the sprites and assets looked not the best, but the gameplay was done well! I’m sure there are many artists out there who would love to work with you!

Overall, great job making this game!! :)

Wow, really cool and unique concept for a game! The idea of flying between planets to trade and earn credits, while still planning ahead to waste credits on flying itself, created a fun unique mental challenge! I appreciate the graphics (though simple) as they had a nice aesthetic to the whole game. However, the gameplay itself did lack progression. As I completed around my fifth trip, it hit me that for me to beat the game, I’d likely just fly between the few planets until I hit 10,000 credits to win, so at that point it felt just like a matter of waiting till I won. If you ever update this game, I’d love to see maybe ways to upgrade my ship (even in minimal ways) that would force me to think strategically through the whole game! “Do I have enough credits to afford this and then fly all the way here??”

Overall, great game!! I love the concept and would love to try it again if you add more to it!

Wow, loved the idea of each color representing a different weapon! It was also surprisingly challenging (in a good way). Great job on developing a solid game that has tons of potential to be developed into a bigger game! Good job :)

This is a cool concept! I for sure see a very interesting path of development that this could take. Impressive merging feature and enemy spawning. Great job :)

Thank you! That’s definitely one of the next things we want to add is more of an intro and explanation to everything! We too love the retrowave !! :)

thank you! Sorry about the flashing screen, it will be a modifiable setting in the future for those who are more light sensitive or just don’t like it. Unfortunately, we just didn’t get to it. :)
