The game feels nice to play, but I don't think that this fits the game jam theme
Love the artwork. Very clean old-school style reminiscent of early 2000s Quake engine stuff. The rocket launcher and machine gun models were especially cool.
I kept running into the issue with enemies not taking damage, which is unfortunate, but hey, it's a game jam. Stuff like that happens. Still impressive for 48 hours!
I do think from a design perspective, having the guns keep spawning during the enemy wave or at least having ammo pickups spawn in would be a huge improvement. Even without the damage glitch it's possible to get softlocked by running out ammo.
Overall nice work, though! =)
hmm idk if i'm doing something wrong but i ended up just not having enough ammos or guns to complete the wave lol, also ended up blowing up myself with the rocket launcher in a previous run.
sometimes enemies just won’t take damage properly. IDK what causes it but restarting is the only way around it. Enemies normally die in ~4-6 shots, 1 from a rocket launcher and 2 from a shotgun, unless any of those weapons are terrible quality.
Why did rocket launcher kill me instantly when i fire it right at the wall infront of me but the enemies took all my shoots XD The gunplay felt too random, my shots went everywhere but most of the time not where i actually aimed at.
we noticed that sometimes shooting enemies would not do anything but play their animation but it was like ~2 hours before the end of the jam. we had so many other more important things to fix than that XD
