Fun game, seems to have a bit of slow down with a lot of enemies, but, was a fun game none the less
This was a lot of fun! At first, when I was playing it, I thought it would be a fun thing to try and last for a few minutes. 24 minutes later and my mom walks into my room and makes me do something so I had to die :( I was not expecting to enjoy that as much as I did. It is a little easy though. Love the look and feel!
Fun and fast-paced. I felt the main loop was a balance between shooting and using the Q bomb powerup, the other 2 were way less effective. Good gameplay, like the style and the soundtrack + sound effects. Felt like an arcade game, could see playing it for a long time. Nice job.
Great game, it was super fun
Great game! only issue I had with it was that it gets a bit easy once you get decent at it. After a certain point it seems to stop getting more difficult, I got to 80 m 55 s because I decided to stop because my hand was cramping. And that was without even really paying attention to the color of the enemies or using W (which I think I did twice?). Once the E upgrade is max level, my strategy was essentially to focus on the closest ship, and use the clear screen effect only when a ship is within pixels of getting me. I only needed to use the clear maybe 15 times in that 80 minutes.
But it's pretty easy to get into a good flow state here, I didn't really know 80 minutes had passed until I let myself lose.
The screen gets a bit hard to read, paying attention to colors gets difficult with the number of enemies, and I rarely looked at the text on the bottom left as it felt too far away from where I needed to focus.
Was a fun experience, love the arcade feel of it, really feels like the type of game one could grind to get the highest time on.

I set a max amount for every type of enemy to avoid enemy amounts getting out of control. The number of enemies each wave stops increasing at about 30 minutes. And because the time is short , the enemies used the same model but with different color textures(I'm not experienced with modeling). Probably different appearance for each type of enemy will make them easier to read. Besides focusing on the ships nearby , I usually hit the purple ones first expecting to get good drops , so I looked at the text pretty often. But it can be showed in another way.
And I'm thinking of changing the Q and W skills into randomly drop when an enemy dies instead of unlimited use by spending coins. The game is a bit easy when enemy numbers grow and your coins overflow.

Very enjoyable game. The way that it only shoots lazers that will directly hit makes it visually pleasing and the game itself is pretty balanced. I like it.
Thanks! I find it quite challenging when I tried not to use the clear and freeze skills. It becomes hard to die when you use these two skills as you can always freeze the enemies and wait for the clear screen skill to cool down. I'll probably change that after the jam.
