Very interesting! I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this, but please add more guns! Shotguns or miniguns will transform this game into an amazing chaos in my opinion. Overall the most creative one so far for me, great  work!

Developer

Thank you! We love the different guns idea--that might help alleviate the spam-clicking aspect of the game. We'll look into it!

This was a really fun game! I definitely miss-read the text before the opponent's turn the first time, and thought that I would be considered a cheater if I shot their dice, so Cheatin' Joe won the first round lol

Developer (1 edit)

Oh no, haha! Any ideas what we could change the text to to make it more clear?

Oh, I don't think it's a design issue-- it was just a user error lol. I think it's pretty cool of you to look into avenues to improve it had it been more of an issue though!

Really addicting.

One of the best and most original takes on the theme! The game play is super fun and challenging, even though sometimes it can turn into just clicking really fast. The game also looks really nice and it has good theming. I never actually won but I would still say it deserves a spot in at least the top 20.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback!

We’re definitely considering ways we could alleviate the strain of spam clicking. If you have any ideas we’d love to hear them!

I'm not sure of any ideas to help with spam clicking if i'm being honest. The obvious choice is to limit the amount of times you can shoot but i'm not sure if that would fit in with the fast paced game play. Despite the problem it doesn't really take that much away from the game play, there's enough other elements to the game play that it doesn't really matter too much!

This is such an incredibly unique take on the theme! Shooting the holes into the soon-to-be dice is a great idea. The part where you shoot down the opponents dice is a good way to keep the gameplay fresh.

Nice work!

Thank you very much! :D

Loved the idea and gameplay behind it. This game can be expanded to a whole new level!

Developer

Thank you very much! Do you have any ideas on where we could take it next?

Maybe with different types of dices, different types of shooting or even exploring the story can be the best deal!

Developer

Ooh I like those! Especially different kinds of shooting—that could give a good challenge! Thank you!

I really liked the idea, quite original I think and fun :p

Thank you!! :D

Super original idea, one of the best in the jam so far!

I feel like cheating Joe is not the only one to cheat in this game many of my shots feel like they should count but they don't, maybe using a slightly bigger bullet during his phase could solve this ;-)

The graphics are simple but good looking and the music and effects are fantastic, the ding ding ding ding counting the dices is amazing, great job!

Developer

Thank you very much for your kind feedback!

We have been hearing from a good number of people that Joe's dice are a little too tricky for good game feel--you are not alone in being cheated by Joe! Love the larger bullet idea, we'll be implementing that in a future version of the game :)

Very Fun

Full marks on this.  Just a great game.  Everything about this I love.  I want this in the top three if not to win the jam :)  Thank you for creating this game!

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! Just the fact that you had fun is winning enough for us :)

The awesome game looks amazing, unique concept and great animation. The only issue I had was the opponent's dice didn't trigger my shots as well as when hitting my own dice, so they usually won.

Having something to aim at on the dice (i.e. Green sides are double points, red sides negative points) would add a bit more skill to it too, but overall, really cool game.

Thank you for your feedback!

Yeah, we've also been hearing that you have to be a little too precise when shooting down your enemy's dice. We think making their dice a bit bigger helps! It's in the newest version of the game (that obviously we cannot submit again, but hope to make available later)

We love the special colored dice idea! We'll try implementing it in the future :)

This is so cool. When I had the realization that shooting the dice was going to up my odds, it was amazing!

"Oh, that's really cool. The bullet holes look like dice pips-- WHAT!! OH MY GOSH THATS AWESOME!"

I loved every part of this. The method of using randomness to increase points with your skill is super clever.

Developer

Thank you very much for you feedback! :)

Do you have any ideas how we could better communicate the idea that shooting the dice makes your odds better?

I don't know. It's such a unique concept that I think you've covered it as good as you can with the "Shoot Your Dice/Make Your Own Luck" line. It just didn't fully click for me until I actually shot. It's also good that you've got a few rounds to redeem the player if they lose the first round because they didn't understand.
