As other commenters said, it's a frustrating game Having the dice display how far your next move is taking you would already be a good start towards a more enjoyable gameplay.
Also, I find the isometric grid great, but I would like to have some arrows on the side for me to click on rather than to use WASD, as it was confusing which key corresponds to which direction.
The presentation is good otherwise and the music fitting.

Heya! Great submission! I really enjoyed the vibe of the music, and actually, despite occasional frustration I think this could be such a cute "brain empty, no thoughts" chill game for mobile. I really enjoyed that aspect of weighing up the risks before confirming a roll and found a nice rhythm in that back and forth gameplay hoping you don't roll off the edge. I saw in the comment below that you guys planned on adding powerups that allow greater control over the dice and the rolls and I really hope you guys come back and implement them as I think it would make this game really interesting. One more thing that I just remember too is that because the move direction die is isometric, there is a slight disconnect in my brain while choosing which direction with WASD because "w" wasn't equating to going directly forward and my brain spent a few seconds trying to comprehend it haha. I'm not too sure how you could navigate that but I think it might be a fun design challenge to look into later. Great submission though! I had heaps of fun. Well done!
I liked the art and the vibe, but it's really frustrating to miss turns over and over again just because of bad luck. At first, I thought the die told you how many spaces your NEXT move would be, and I liked that because then I could think ahead. When I realized that the die just displayed the move you had already made, I felt a little frustrated because all I could do was hope my move wouldn't roll me off a cliff.
Hi, thanks for the feedback! I see how the gameplay could be frustrating. We planned to have a sort of gambling system where you could collect coins to roll a die and get powerups that could have an either positive or negative impact on you and made you have a lot more control over the gameplay, but due to time constraints we weren't able to implement the system. We'll definitely have a system where the die tells you how much you can move in the future if we keep working on the game.
