Pretty neat Snake game. I like the random level generation (though, the generation itself could use some work, making the corridors a bit wider and preventing the player to spawn just a bit in front of a wall for example).
Thanks for your feedback, greatly appreciated! glad you liked it:)
I have never been so afraid to go down a long straight corridor :) Ha ha, it was a lot of fun. Real risk and reward stuff. Maybe some tweaks required but this is complete, nicely implemented game.
Thanks a lot! glad you liked it. It does need tweaks and stuff, already thinking on an updated version :P
I love PCG and this is a good application. Sometimes the generated map is too unforgiving, so probably random walk isn't the best algorithm to go. A couple of experiments would make this game great!
Thanks, for sure needs a lot of tweaking, first thing would be to make the corridors 2 tile wide instead of 1, and always ensure it is not a dead end. Still lots of things to polish, due to timing I couldn’t properly set everything:S
Thanks for your feedback I’m thinking on updating this once the rating period is over.
The random generation level system in this game can sometimes make some area impossible to move around without losing.
The ability is confusing and I can't seems to be able to use them no matter how I played it. And I do not see how dashing would be useful in this game.
The control in this game is pretty difficult, its a little bit off my reaction time and I find it harder than those curve games.
But motions and visual in this game does look nice.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. Yes the random map is a bit unforgiven, sorry about that.
And for the abilities u didn’t have time to setup a tutorial or something that lets you know how to use or unkock them, only thing I could do was write that up on the game description :S
The dash was intended to reach food that had a timer, but I didn’t turned on the timer because of lack of time.
Overall, the game is in its really early stage, due to my timing I couldn’t finish it properly, but thanks for your input I’ll definitely consider it when updating this after the scoring.
Are these randomly generated levels!? Nice! Very fun!
Yup, that’s correct! using a “random walks” algorithm, still needs tweaking and enhancements, but it gets the job done :p
Glad you enjoyed!
Basicly Snake with food, nothing wrong with that :)
Thank you!
Great work on this remaking of Snake! I like how there is a bit of carryover in the runs. Random levels mean each run is different, but maybe for something with needing precise movements like this stick to some slightly bigger shapes it can generate. small corridors spawning stuff means it is pretty much impossible to get. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your feedback, happy you liked it. For sure I need to tweak the level generator, due to timing this is what I could do for now, but I liked this project a lot I might try to make it a full game.
I do like the small corridors, the only thing is that they don’t lead to playable areas so you end up in a dead end XD, a minimap could help here.
And for the carryover between runs, it was supposed to be more elaborated but… timing :P
Great entry! Nice movement and animation of the snake
Thanks! means a lot coming from another snake-like creator :P glad you liked it.
Great entry, the movement / animations were very fluid.
Thanks for playing it!
A great rereading of the Snake game! The controls are solid and the mechanics are fluid. Congrats, It's a great entry!
Thank you for playing it, I appreciate your feedback!
Nice entry, controls are tricky to master but not unfair.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Great entry! I enjoyed playing it.
Thanks a lot Dunny, glad you enjoyed!
