it felt a bit unresponsive after a while (macbook air 2020, google chrome)

nice entry! :-)

very nice and well made! it freezed mid game on my mashine (mac OS, Chrome) so i could not finish, but i liked what i saw so far :-)

The voice acting is funny as hell! :-D

i like the idea of the different movement modes and the overall appearence, great job! :-)

the sounds are awesome, but it's a bit hard to control

fun concept :-)  It feels a bit like luck if the worm fires out to the right direction, which makes it a bit upredictable

Awesome Gameplay Idea and pretty well executed for a jam game. I really liked this one!

nice little platformer and funny choice of a main character :-)

i dunno if i've missed something, but once the jump pads are gone, i had to start all over again when i missed a jump.

fun game :-)

The music choice is great :-)

it's sometimes a bit hard to read and see the powerup parasites. and the abilities should last a bit longer, rapid fire feels good :-)

Nice idea and the theme is on spot maybe a couple feedback effects would make it even better :-)

thank you <3

hi! thank you :)

yes, there is a collider glitch with the player in some situations because it is too big. we tried to adjust that near the end but it totally broke the detection. :D

i think you should have more luck with google chrome :-)

thank you :-)

Hi!, we sadly ran out of time and didn't manage to improve the flow. ^^

thanks for playing :-)

i also honsetly don't expect a finished gameloop within 8 hours :D

Thanks for your reply :)

yes, i got this, but i personally think it is a bit too suttle, because then, any leveling ability would be enough:

by collecting health potions, you can amplify your health
by leveling up, you can amplify your strength, vitality etc.

what i want to say is that i totally see an aspect of the theme reflected in your game, but i would not recognize it as amplification, more like a level up system. :)

and this is also just small nit-picking for an overall very impressive entry.

Does it start to tank FPS at some point: yes
is it a big deal? hell no! ^^ it's a game made in 8 hours and there is so much detail in it already!

the floaty movement fits, the movement of your bee mates looks awesome and the different biomes are telegraphing well. it is a bit loud tho, but for this short amount of dev time, my windows volume slider works good enough :)

great concept, good artwork and stable enough gameplay systems.

good job everytone involved! :)

I kinda have no idea what i'm supposed to do. i guess there is another resource i can use, because there is another 5 at the bottom, but i cannot figure out how to switch to it or what it does. it seems like the resolution is simply not supported by my monitor (i'm at 1440p) and the game may demand 4k? Are there more buttons shifted out of my view or should i press another key to switch resources?

maybe a team member could comment a brief description. :-)

i like the concept tho and you really nailed the theme in it.

The gameplay would be pretty straight forward:

walk, point with your mouse torwards enemies and shoot. :D

but the input is not working at all in the web build. so the game can be considered as broken in the current state.

Pretty nice!

Impressive work for a couple of hours.

i kinda miss the theme of the jam "amplify".

This is so dope! you really know how to implement GameFeel right!

WOW!, this is just amazing and atmospheric. There is so much detail in this.

i'm really impressed.

thank you very much!

yeah, we should have done a bit better to teach the player ingame. i'll see what i can do when i expand this.

the plan is to make a small shooter out this with around 3 to 4 levels and learn about leveldesign and player guidance. so nothing really fancy that we want to exapand, just a very small shooterino ^^

your feedback is spot on!

we already have increased the speed of the mage projectiles and the skulls and it feels great now :-)

thank you for playing, check back after the JAM for a more refined version ;-)

the gameplay is pretty snappy! you cared about game feel and thats great, because it adds so much to the experience here. the colours and artwork are also holding together pretty well!.

all in all a pretty good entry and an fantastic job for a couple of days.

i love the artwork, music is suttle but also sinister, good pick!

well done.

good job! i met Tux -> 10/10

controlls are a bit sluggish tho.

oh wow i'm really bad at this kind of game. but's well executed and the music fits nicely.
If you want extend on this one, add a couple of tweens for the transformation to make them more impactful :-)

well done!

i can imagine that you put a bunch of effort into finetuning the jump for this game. feels fluid and predictable. very cool. the music and the gameplay go hand in hand here.

pretty good catch of the mood you where trying to create. good use of 2D occlusion and light .

WOW! i had so much fun with this one.

artstyle, sound, music and gameplay are playing very very well together here. thanks!

thank you very much! :-)

thank you! :-)

yes, there should be a gate that opens up, but we broke the trigger in the last couple of hours while we tried to get the web build somehow working ^^. so you pretty much finished it :-D

Pretty nice and super cute! :-)

thank you :-)

i'm glad that you've enjoyed it and that it actually worked for you :-D

The damage perk simply doubles the damage of your bullets as long as it is active. But it does not come into play that much because of the rather weak enemies, because you gain more health than loosing through the perk as long as you hit something ^^. A better  way would be to not regain health when a perk is active.

Yes, that was really our main learning. It was a bad decision to not release also native versions. We had so much struggle with the web version in the end that there was no time left for bug fixing and polish.

thank you very much and i'm glad that you liked it :-)
Yes, it's pretty hard in some areas, but i like to put some challenge into those small experiences. ^^
Some of the checkpoints don't work correctly in every situation, which doesn't makes it easier :-D

oh wow! what a gorgeous puzzle game. i love the idea of the drawings and the pieces with different textures. also nice writing!

and the music.. it's fantastic! did one of your team sing? if yes, thats an extra point! ^^

keep it on, you're great.

Happy that you liked it.

Thank you very much! :-)
