Fun idea! Good job!

I had fun trying to drop and catch my shapes with the other shapes! Fun little puzzler, well done!

Developer(+1)

that is awesome I was playing with that too it is fun to try and catch the block, thankyou you!

I agree with FoxCheeze. It was initially a shock when I dumped my own blocks. But it made it more challenging that you could knock boxes off by being sloppy. Good job!

Developer

awesome haha That is how I like it too, it adds a bit of a  challenge and I think it would be too easy if the blocks couldn't fall at all, Thankya for your time <3

It is very creative to make the shapes collide before placing! It makes the player mind more about their movement when placing a shape. Nice work mate.

Developer(+1)

exactly! It make the player have to think about it more. Thankyou for checking it out

I actually really enjoyed your game! Something about stacking blocks triggered those infant parts of my brain that just wanted to make it perfect. I love the concept and definitely think you can make a full and fun game from it. Even this however kept me entertained even to the end! I’d love to see even more shapes added to it as well. Maybe change the sfx up a bit (they were a bit obnoxious) and add some background music (plenty of free assets on sites like Pixabay) and you can have a really solid game on your hands! Great job :)

Developer

Haha thankyou, that is awesome! I had planned on adding levels 6-9 but ran out of time. I will most likely be polishing this game up with better assets and totally redoing the sfx

I should add stars and pentagons, weird shapes compared to a square/ circle to change it up

Nice concept! I like it. Bad execution but really nice concept

Developer (1 edit)

lol well you could explain what is so bad so it can become better but thanks for your time anyway <3

OK but It looks like others told everything.

  1. Full screen makes impossible to understand why you lost.
  2. You can't just move new block because it will collide with existed blocks. It doesn't look like feature it looks like a bug.... (You could introduce it as a feature but now it feels like a bug).
  3. You can drag down block and it won't reload a game
Developer

thankyou,

ya I know about 1 didn't have time but it is fixed, 2 is a feature, you should try not to hit the block when placing a block 3 I don't understand the reported issue

Submitted

For 2 you should introduce it as a feature (maybe text label) because it feels like a bug.

3. You can throw away (down) the block. You must pick up it and throw when your mouse is in the down of the screen

P.S Don't worry I didn't mean it is terrible. I meant it isn't good

Developer

oh ok true thats agood idea. Thankyou I will fix three now.

haha all good ;) thanks for being helpful, have a good one!

I've also just found that you can grab block but can't ungrab it to grab another one. When I tried to click on the the same block to put back I just pickup new one and throw previous...

Developer

ya that sounds about right. you should drop the block when you are holding a block and click. there is no check to see if you dropped the block in the right spot.

there is no ungrab feature it is up to you to grab the blocks in the right order

Won the game! The level 3 was probably the my favourite. Minor issue: When you toggle the fullscreen it is not clear where are the screen edges. Thanks for the game!

Developer(+1)

OHH sweet! thankyou for playing it haha,

yup I probably forgot to set the expand mode or set the anchor points, thank ya for letting me know

Submitted(+1)

This is the start of an okay, but established game concept. It is held back by apparent lack of relevance to theme and the physics starting before placement. One minor complaint is that the click, release and then move is less intuitive than click and drag.

I did, give it time, however, which indicates more inherent interest than quite a few games.

Developer

well thankyou very much for your time! I should go in ad change a few thgings as it was just hacked together hehe, thankya

Submitted(+1)

Cute concept. I mostly ended up losing because I'd hit the blocks when dragging another one :)

Developer

Thanyou haha, I had a lot of fun with that. To me, that is the hard part lol not hitting it while trying to balance it

Submitted(+1)

game is cool , but it sometimes just makes all my blocks disappear for no reason.

Developer

i think i know where to look...

That was fun. The sounds are very jarring but a little block stacking is always enjoyable, well done.

Developer

Haha thankyou, that was by design i was hoping to startle the player into meeting up... but I also added the mute toggle just in case
