Fun game! I really liked the music/ sound fx you guys came up with. The little bonus pickups were a nice addition also. The controls felt a little off to me. was hard for me to get the hang out of controlling my character with just my left hand. A lot of cool stuff going on here though guys. Great job.

Awesome visuals, great horse sound effects, and fun to play. Like others mentioned, I would have also liked to use the spacebar to jump. I noticed that the powerups sometimes spawn inside walls, making them impossible to reach. Sometimes I would also reach the bubble mini game while going in the direction of spikes, so I would die some milliseconds after the mini game. Saving the personal best on disk would be nice.

After seeing the other scores posted here I couldn't resist going back and trying again:

I really enjoyed your game man! The visuals, the audio, the weir parallel dimension you go into when you take the round thingy. It’s all really cool and dynamic!

My only complaint is the lack of other controls! I want to use the spacebar to jump and buttons on my controller! But that’s an easy fix :)

I think you could totally port it to mobile, it would work great.

Big congrats for your entry!

Haha great little endless runner you got there! Really enjoyed playing it, got hooked and had a lot of fun trying to get a  good score. My best was 11.000. - Im curious - whats your personal high score?

I really like the setting (the little psychadelic trip mini game is great, but i had no idea what i need to do - which probably is a very realistic trip then haha.) and you nailed the Vaporwave style.
The jump drop is quite fast, but once you get used too its fair enough - but I would really add some coyote time, the responsiveness of the controls was lacking sometimes.

One of the highlight in terms of fun have been the invincible rush phases - but unfortunately the camera pushed me several times over the edge without any chance to jump.

Great little game after all - well done!

Oof, that took some work! You got a nice game there. I felt like the controls were a bit rough for the precise platforming it required though. The lack of height jump control felt not so great, especially when trying to jump over spikes, you had to go all the way up and come to a sudden halt while the level kept advancing. Having no acceleration was also weird especially in the air, you would jump, let go of the the right button and the character would come to a sudden halt like it had no momentum, which would sometimes cause you to want to go a couple pixels forward and quickly tapping forward would cause it to move way more than expected because he would instantly move at full speed. But the biggest gripe I had with the controls was having to jump with up. Jumping with up is always uncomfortable to me, but in this case, doing wall jumps with up was especially uncomfortable. Eventually I figured out I could move with the arrows and jump with W and then suddenly I felt way better and started going somewhere in this game. But yeah, other than that, I think you nailed the other aspects, especially the graphics. The parallax of the city, the VFX, the neon colors, I can tell you put a lot of effort into making this game look good and it paid off, well done!

I really enjoyed playing it !!

My personal best : 11000
It is so fun to play, the graphics are great !
If I can suggest an improvement I would recommend to start with some easier chunks in the random generation, and add power ups and difficulty in the next chunks.

Still it might be the game I had the more fun playing !

Really love the graphics, nice touch with the abstract palm overlays in the foreground. Everything feels nicely fit together! The ‘popping’ and falling apart on death is a nice touch too. I found the jump + falling trajectory nice and unique to make it a little different from other platformers. I never quite figured out the wall jump other than doing it once somehow on accident, so my highest score was based on just how long until a tall wall showed up.

Side note on the menu, seems like mouse clicking could have worked, but only accepted arrows and enter. Volume controls would also be a plus too!

Oh, and thanks for the mac build :D

This is trippy. My reflexes are terrible, and I suck at this kind of game, so I hope I didn't miss out on something further into the game.

So, while not my kind of game, I really do have to appreciate the polish, looks very complete!

yeah, this is actually a “problem” I see in game jams, because the entries not be always a game genre that everyone will like!
