Well done on the rage game, lmao. I couldn't handle much more than the first stage. The controls just seemed way too unresponsive for how quick and hard hitting all the enemies were. Conceptually I was actually really excited to play when I saw the very first tutorial room and the switching of elements.

The animation for the spell wheel needs to be way faster. I don't think it requires you to wait, but it makes it feel sluggish.

Also, if there's a maximum range that you can cast, I think it needs to be displayed somehow, a lot of the time spells failed to cast and I wasn't entirely sure why.

Still, great work! This genuinely looks like a lot of fun to play, if it wasn't so brutal.

I really love the concepts and visuals, specially the UI. However I didn't get to play that much because the game felt fart too hard right from the beginning when I was still trying to figure out the difference between elements. Nice concept, good job!

Hey! Thank you so much for your entry into the jam - I also thought the concepts were really promising but didn't get to enjoy them fully as I felt thrown into the deep end - once an enemy got a hold of you that was it! But really like the bits you pulled together and some great concepts. Thanks again, a wicked entry!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and for hosting such a nice jam. I even want to further develop my game with the feedback I receved here and some other ideas I have. Thank you!

I wish it wasn't so hard, because it looked so fun to play, but I just kept dying. I had fun trying out the different elements in the starting room though :)

Super hard. All the different elemental abilities were cool to see, though I kept firing them off by accident when trying to attack while moving. If an enemy manages to get on top of you, it's basically game over.

The game is very hard but very enjoyable. As a fan of Magica, i love the spell switching mechanic. It opens up infinite combos the player can make. But the player isn’t forced to change his size, which isn’t a bad thing, but it just doesn’t really feel like the size really matters? (I also have the same problem in my game lmao). Other than that, very good game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! When me and my friend played the game, it got easier when you shrink your character down, because you get a lot faster. I also tried to implement the Size Matter theme by reducing the size of a monster when it looses health and the smaller the enemy the faster he gets, but I agree it could have been implemented better.

I guess my problem is that I have to spend a “skill point” to change my size, bcs every other upgrade gives only positive stats, but size give positive and negative bonuses at once, thus you basically gain nothing when you spend a skill point on size instead of the other stats

Developer(+1)

Actually if you use your skillpoints for Magic Power, your manaconsumption for each spell will increase. and only for the intelligence skill there is no negativ point other than it does less than the other skills. But I think it's not very obvious. Thanks for the feedback again!

Oooh, i didn’t know that

I found it very difficult, but all the different spells you added are cool!

Really well executed game, but it was a bit too hard for me. The enemies are super fast and relentless XD The size aspect was there but maybe not as central as others.
