Theme: definitely fits the theme

Fun: the idea of exploring was fun, but what actually happened was I kept getting lost and sometimes I'd be stuck even when I'd explored every area on the map. Never did figure out which things are bombable (maybe there's some sort of visual cue but I didn't see any).

Controls: I like the turn-based/grid-based movement, but the 90 degree turns got really frustrating. Maybe it would help to have keys to actually move left/right in addition to the keys to just turn left/right? Also, the turns were so abrupt/fast it felt a little jarring at times.

Graphics: maybe I didn't get far enough (I got stuck at some point in level 2) or maybe you're using GLES3 and my Macbook Pro just isn't playing nicely with that, but the colors looked a bit monotonous to me (it always looks like that first screenshot (the brown and black one). In this game you do a lot of staring at walls and doors, and I got sick of those walls and doors pretty quickly. I think more variety of colors and textures would help. As jmbjr said, it was sometimes hard to see the minimap, particularly the "you are here" square. Making the map (and the square) a different color (white, maybe), or giving the map a ColorRect so it had a background color (as opposed to a 100% transparent background) would help.

Audio: good ambient sounds, great SFX. I think the game could use some music though. That might make it feel less monotonous.

Originality: the movement system and the swimming to reach areas you couldn't find by walking are not frequently seen; the other stuff is pretty standard dungeon-crawling. To really set this game apart, I would like to see other features that take advantage of the movement system. (For example, I know you worked hard on trying to get a combat system and ran out of time; that would have been interesting to see.)

Overall this game felt very tightly put together.  The audio really fit the mood and ambiance; the sfx and music at the end sounded great, but it might have been nice if the other levels had some music too. The controls were extremely responsive (but I did feel a bit motion sick a couple times).   My favorite part was dropping the bombs (though I still never figured out if they were timed or if I had to move around to ignite them).

I liked the mini-map but it was difficult to see the little black square sometimes.  Also I did get lost on level 3 when I couldn't remember which room the stairs were in and the mini-map didn't show it.

Enjoyable experience for sure.

Maybe it's your latest update (I just tried to play today), but I can't play at all? I'm on Mac and as soon as I hit enter to start the game, the game crashed.

I've just noticed it myself! Fix coming very quickly!

Fix is up! That wasn't embarassing at all...

Theme: It definitely fits the theme of exploration. Actually there is so much to explore that it's very easy to get lost without a certain item. 5/5

Fun: I think that this is a very fun game. However you spend a lot of time just walking and trying to get your way to the exit. When you miss a secret room it becomes very tedious to check every wall in the dungeon especially with the 90 degree turning controls. 3/5

Controls: The controls feel great at first but once you get comfortable with them and start going faster the camera wobble gives you some serious motion sickness. 3/5

Graphics: The graphics definitely add to the atmosphere but I feel like it gets really repetitive after some time. You will find yourself looking at blank walls constantly to maneuver through the dungeon. 4/5

Audio: The audio feels great. That is literally all I have to say about it. It adds great atmosphere and builds constant tension. 5/5

Originality: I feel like it's a pretty original game with the whole movement system but there Is just not enough features. You have secret rooms, bombs, chests, water, doors, and some decorations but that's about it. 3/5

Anyway I enjoyed playing through the whole thing  and collected all the secrets and chests.

Sorry if I was too harsh but It's critical feedback

I'm not even gonna lie: this is the first GWJ game I've ever given full 5-stars to. It perfectly captures the aesthetic that I love from your games, it's an enjoyable and relaxing romp of exploration, and even though it misses the combat element that you wanted I kinda like the eerie vibe of the corpses strewn about. Besides I'm just a sucker for grid-based adventure games. I look forward to future updates and community mods~

Nice dungeon crawler. I feel like the controls could be better though, I had a bit of motion sickness when going fast but maybe it's just me.

Love the graphics and the ambiance

This is only my opinion:

Theme: Very related to the theme and I enjoy exploring and discovering stuff in the dungeon. 5 stars without much doubt.
Fun: It was fun in a way but it lacked quite a few other features that could have made it a better experience. First of all a monster chasing us, a small mini-game, etc... Therefore I gave it 3 stars because I just found it a solve mystery, walking sim.
Controls: Deserve five stars, are smooth and don't glitch out. 5 stars.
Graphics: They are good and I don't have any objection, still it needs context, I only saw a lot of lumps, dead demons? etc... Therefore 4 stars.
Audio: It's perfect but there is only sfx, nothing else. Therefore can't give it more than 3 stars.
Originality: It's not new but it's not seen often in games. Therefore 4 stars.
