I like the concept. good music and art. I didn't do well in the game. I just didn't know how to play. I wish it had a tutorial. or maybe I am just stupid

I really like the art in this game, it is very charming! I also like the sense of humor in the intro and how you pair that with warming the player up with the 4 keys they have to press. Once the real game and the barking starts though, all I can hear my brain say is "PANIC PANIC PANIC PANIC" the entire time.  Eventually I remember I need to aim my cursor at the invading robot mouse while type in the correct key to make them go away,

Overall I had fun, but definitely stressful and a very chaotic experience.

I really like the art style and the general idea. The gameplay is really hectic and chaotic (which is a good thing for this kind of game, I think). It has a small kinks here and there; sometimes, the planet doesn't get updated and the barking textbox seems really random; but I really liked it.

It was very confusing the way the dog panel kept appearing in the middle. Reading the comments helped me. Overall, an interesting concept ☺

We think there is a bug with the text box, it should get bigger if you don't press the correct keys or press the wrong ones. We should have a fixed version uploaded after GWJ 23 is over. Thanks for playing, hope you had fun!

Kinda confusing and the barking got pretty annoying. I tried going ham on the keys and I tried pressing as prompted and neither seemed to clear the screen too well. Good concept, but dang it was difficult to keep up with what was expected haha. Good job!

Developer

We're looking into a bug that might be causing the dog's text box to be larger than it should be. We should have a fixed version put out soon. Thanks for playing!

I love the mouse robot art especially.  It has a generally nice feel, the dog is always yelling "give me more" while the cat is cool and composed haha.  It took me a few tries and reading some comments here to figure out what to do.  Highest score was $154,375.  I always never got the dog barking off the screen.  Perhaps I'm not too quick on the asdf.  Either way, good fun.

We really wanted an interactive tutorial but ran out of time. Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it.

I think I might be awful at this game. I keep ending with $0. Am I supposed to avoid the regions to sell, cut around the outside of them, or completely destroy them? And no matter how much I push 'asdf', the barkbarkbark takes up most of my view, is that intended? Like I said, I think these might not be problems I have with the game, I might just be bad.

You're suppose to cut the red line and leave the most area inside the red line as possible to get a bigger payout.  As for ASDF your suppose to press them as prompted at the bottom, and if you press them too late e.g. pressing one that isn't actively shown on screen it'll make the dog angrier.

We tried a fair bit of play testing and couldn't re-create ending up with $0 as long as we traced the outline of the red triangle at least once during a game session, but if you run into the issue again try taking a screen capture or record your game so we might be able to see if its a bug we need to fix.

Thank you for the feedback, I hope I've properly explained it enough you might be able to give it another try. We're going to keep working on it to make it a little more forgiving and try to make it more clear exactly how to play.

Thanks for the response. I gotcha. I might just be dumb lol. Also now that I've read your message I think the reason the barkbarkbark was so big was because I tended to go a little too ham on the asdf keys and hit ones that weren't there.

We wanted to put in some more obvious feedback for the ASDF, like red exclamation boxes for each ASDF key when you press one that isn't shown but ran out of time. We'll definitely have that improved in a version after the GWJ 23 is over. I get that its a really confusing game though, the gameplay is so different from most games that it takes a while to get used to it, we kinda struggled with how to explain it well enough in the instructions at the beginning. We're going to upload some easy to follow tutorial GIFs on the itch page so we have a more visual way to explain how to play.
