Thanks for the detailed review, I really appreciate that.  The button are made by me but are I think the only asset that was re-used from another game.  I wasn't thinking it originally but I'll update that based on your advice.  The zoom issue seems to be on everyone's mind and I'll definitely be changing that in the near future.  Thanks for playing and I appreciate the comments!

No way you escaped? I made that wall pretty tall (the one with my horrible wall texture). Thanks for trying that and letting me know. I'll be adjusting that when I update it. The grass was a bit tedious to make. Several photos from the yard, add transparency, and copy and paste overlapping dozens of times according to the shape of the bezier I made for the level. The audio was more fun. And thanks for playing!

You're right the zoom is the main issue. It creates the need for faster reaction but it goes a bit too far. Definitely I'll take the advice for future updates. Thanks for playing!

Glad you liked it and yes those bugs are great! The zoom does indeed require quicker reaction but I will be adjusting that based on the feedback. Not sure how yet, perhaps it will zoom closer as the points get higher. I'll play around with it. Thanks for playing.

Thanks for playing. I use to skateboard back in the day but now it's just longboard. But indeed the reminder is there.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes you can definitely go slow! At first I wanted a timer to avoid it and rush the player but then thought hmm let's see if anyone plays it slow. Good eye! And a gulping animation is on the way at some point.

Your idea of highlighting is the way to go!

I enjoyed the puzzles.  I also like the easy reset.  The constant movement of the art and the story make it seem absorbing and nice.  My only suggestion is to enable long press, long movement (I have a clicky keyboard and it's a lot of clicking haha).  Perhaps with a delay or a "dash" key so someone doesn't accidentally move too far.

I'm finding this game confusing.  I'm just not able to figure it out.  I killed the boss but I'm not sure if that's a good thing.  Either way, good job on interesting game play mechanics and multiple movable characters.

I was quite lost at first.  There's a lot on the screen. Perhaps a tutorial that highlights parts and shows what's what.  I know it's a time limited jam and that's not realistic but I mean for the future if you plan on developing this further.  The graphics are top notch.  I like the whole theme.

I had problems with the game just locking up (web and windows versions) but I'll review what I can tell from it.  I'm not sure why the planets are being destroyed but it seems original (perhaps they are on a collision course with the alien's home planet?).  The movement is smooth and it's easy to grasp and has good repeatability.

Controls seem nice, knife action is good and not glitchy.  You can definitely use this to continue!

This is good.  It's very challenging but you can always retry.  Keep this one going!!

It's a fun and funny game.  I see myself playing this regularly, thanks for a great game

It's a fun idea and the control is good.  I think the menu is absolutely great, how you bring it back up while paused!

I laughed while playing this and that's a good thing.  The intro is great too.  It's an nice original "shooter" where you don't really "shoot", great idea!

Hey a driving/riding game!  Well done.  There was a few times that I was knocked upside down and it took a few hits from the enemy to get me back up.  Fried egg and oil would make this a blast!

It's very different from the other jam entries and it really stands out.  Bold choice!  I like the transitioning from story to game play and the transition effect too.

Nice ascii and I think this will work very well with more levels.  I prefer how the smooth controls of the instruction level vs level 3 work.

Nice level design and audio.  The leprechauns are good reacting enemies too.  Overall I think it plays very well.

Very nicely done.  Polished, fun, controls well.  Definitely export this for mobile.  Great job!

It played smoothly and I like the stomping effect on the screen.  I would suggest changing the control keys since holding the "E" and space is a little awkward with the right hand.  It's a great start.

It's a little chaotic but it's fun.  I like how smooth it all works and dodging the bullets is difficult but not impossible.  Yes I die quickly but that's just my bad playing.  Perhaps a progressively faster pace would really engage someone.  I'd really like to play this by starting slow and getting quicker!!

I like the art and I think you should continue with this game.  I wish the enemies would perhaps stay at different levels like on plates which would make it challenging to shoot them in a small area.  Not that there isn't a challenge now but to add variety.  Good job overall.

It's visually great.  The smoothness really makes this game.  I wish the camera was a little closer but that might just be a personal preference.  Keep working on this one in the future, I'll play it!

Love the graphics and the music is great too.  I was a little confused, I thought I had to avoid the wolf.  But the changing controls make this game fun and I didn't find it frustrating when I went the wrong way.

Haha my little guy did sounds for me too!

I really enjoyed doing the audio recordings, glad you liked them.  I'll also adjust the zoom in the future.  Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing.  The camera for the menu is definitely on it's way out in the near future update!  Or at least I'll have to adjust that.

Nice game.  I like the theme, graphics, and audio.  Everything is themed well including the syringe.  It's fast, frantic fun.

This game has an impressive amount of features.  I like the sounds but wish it had a little sound track but serious I know it's the time frame and this game is large.  I would like to move diagonal or at least the latest key press to register when changing directions instead of having the character stop if 2 keys are pressed.  I played the web version in case that makes a difference.

It's a solid platformer.  I liked it.  The sounds also really added especially the jump sound.  It took a little time to get use the the dive but nothing was glitchy, everything works great.  Good job!

I like the whole atmosphere created and the puzzle is indeed difficult.  I wasn't able to pass it but I'll give it another go.  Nice game overall.

I like the concept but I was confused during game play.  I'm not sure how to place the defence to stop the bad guys.  I placed one and it stopped a few of them but the other blocks didn't stop them.  I also couldn't craft a canon (I think it was a canon, sorry if I misread even though I think I had enough parts). The intros really get you into the game and I really liked them.  I also really like the different music and sounds based on locations!!

Thanks for the great comments and for playing of course!!

Oh wow, I didn't know that.  Hmm it must be the linux export wow.  I'll test it on a linux machine Friday.  It'll be after the vote but it'll help my in the future, thanks for the heads up.  I'll also try to post a web version Friday in case you want to try it.

Oops sorry.  I should have tested it on my Mac (it was exported from a PC).  I'm on my Mac now but it's doing a massive update.  I'll post it as a web version Friday which is after the voting but if you want to try it for fun it'll be easier.  Argh.  Thanks for the heads up, it'll help me in the future!!!

Neither did I!!  Thanks for playing.

Thanks for the heads up on the camera zoom.  And yes it's for the wild card (and the fact that I knew I'd run out of time to do a full menu).  I'll adjust that in the near future.  I love audio and I'm happy when someone notices that (even though it's far from perfect).  It's actually just scrunching leaves and my son's voice which made making it fun.  Thanks for playing!

Thanks for noticing the zoom.  It was initially more panned but was a bit too easy so I decided to zoom a little extra.  The cut off text is on purpose ... I guess it's the "menu as part of the game thing" so you have to move a little to read it.  Ok maybe not the best idea but I found it fun.  I'm thinking of added some extra levels and eventually make it more of a platform with bezier curves as the ground like this U thing (which you're right should be less zoomed).  I think it'll be a separate game or Pill Bug 2.  Thanks for playing!
