Absolutely no idea what happened but I'm into it!
It was a journey and I want to thank you for it! ^_^
Hope you'll keep making 2d stuff, cheers!
I don't know what game this is, the soundtrack is stuck in my head. but good job making a 2D game for the first time, keep trying and keep improving
lol i dont know what happened, the game got stuck on the first dialogue and the dude just screamed into my ear for 5 min, now im too scared to try again 10/10
Excellent
Congratulations on making your first jam entry!
Moving the player around felt responsive. I liked the idea of having a move around a city to complete some activities. The mini-map was a nice touch.
I was not sure what to do in the beginning. Perhaps some tutorial would have been nice to convey what is the goal of the game. The menu was good, but the art used did not make me feel as if I wanted to stay long in the menu, but that is just me.
Congratulations, once again, and hope that next time you are able to create the game you had envisioned with what you have learned.
Thank you creator of war pigs, I had a lot going on that week but I wanted to try a game jam and I learned many things in the process, in the end I bit off a little more than I could chew but I'm glad I did the jam and found the community is awesome!
Hey. Nice job for your first game jam entry. I've got a few suggestions that might help. Things are a bit too tiny as they are. Adding a full screen button could help (you can choose this in "edit game" page of itch.io for your game). Making the sprites a bit larger also helps. Not all of us have very young eyes you know! :)
Your character sprite is a bit blurry. You can fix this (if you want a sharper look) by selecting the image file in Godot, going to the import tab, deselecting "filter" and clicking re-import.
About the "source" field which you wrote you don't know what it means. It's simply asking you if you want to share the source code of the game. If you want, you can put a github link in there. It's entirely optional of course.
Thank you very much for the feedback even though the game flopped and it ended up pretty horribly.
What do you mean the game flopped? It might sound cliche, but as long as you learned something, it was a resounding success. And you'll get some feedback which is nice. It's not like you spent a lot of money and then didn't get a return on your investment. :D Keep going if you enjoyed the process of making the game, you'll quickly improve, I'm sure.
EDIT: If by flop you mean few people have rated your game, first of all it's just day one. And two, you can work on your cover art a bit. Make something that doesn't look blurry, add some big text and contrasting colors in there, and you'll grab attention. You can do this even now. It's not against the rules to edit jam page after submission date.
