Awesome work on your game, it's very relaxing and pretty fun to play through, but TOO.MUCH.CLICKING! You could make it so that you just needed to hold the mouse button to do stuff, but at the current stage you have to click A LOT to do so, thankfully your game worked fine with my pen tablet or else I would be having a nasty carpal tunnel right now...

Developer

Woah! That's really cool to know that it worked with a pen tablet!

I agree with you about the clicking. The idea was that as you played the game, the amount you would have to click would reduce significantly. I wanted a tractor where you could just drive over the plots to plant and harvest. I was going to have a windmill upgrade that would automatically turn the mill. In the end I ran out of implementation time, and I didn't have sufficient time to balance costs, so some of the upgrades I did implement were too expensive.

Again, congrats on the game, it was really fun.

About the clicking issue, I think you could basically make it nonexistent by having less plots of land to actually plant on at the beginning. You click a lot to plant on all of them, and then a lot to process all of the wheat (around 1.7k ish) into every processes, and then click a lot to sell them. If the player had less plots at the beginning, but could upgrade the amount he has later, when he already had upgrades to help him with clicking (maybe even with the tractor you wanted to have), it could potentially erase the issue. But just making he hold the button to do the processes would also be a way to fix it, tough the former is way more fun in my opinion, or you could just have both as well.

I actually wanted to put a lot of that farm land under rock and fallen trees. Then I could have made use of the explosion wild card. The player would buy dynamite and use it to clear the farmland. But again I didn't have time.

I think switching from individual clicks to holding would have made the game better overall. It's a great suggestion.

Thank you for the kind words and feedback! :)

Awesome little farming game. It was quite click-intensive, and I was farming wheat a lot faster than I could process it :D

Great entry.

Thank you! Yeah the idea was the upgrades would reduce the clicking. I really wanted to get a tractor in there to plant and farm to remove that clicking. Had no time for that or balance, so it did end up being very difficult to use up the wheat.

Had a lot of fun with this, I'm amazed that you could do all this in a week. Also I tried to LGIO it and as a result I can tell you: milling 6500 wheat makes it lag at some point lol

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! That's an amazing screenshot! 😂Good to know it could handle that many. Thank you for playing it long enough to get that result. 😀

Nice submission, the mechanics seem really solid and the art is nice and consistent :) I couldn’t figure out what to do after putting the 4 dough balls out onto the trays though, I’m sure I’ve clicked on everything. Did you make all the assets yourself, if so congrats! :D

I struggled there too, but I figured it out: advance to the next day. then it will be pickable

Ahh so the dough need to rise! Makes sense :D

Developer

Thank you for playing! You do have to wait a day to get the dough to rise in what I called the proofing baskets. Yes I created all the assets myself! The animations came from Mixamo, but the character and all the environment art I did in Blender. :)

Nice and original idea, the graphics are also quite nice and the music is also pretty lovely and catchy. i did get stuck a few times but i found out what to do quickly and ended up getting that bread.

Developer

Yay! Thanks for playing. I am glad you were able to get some bread. :) I wanted to have some tutorialization, but ran out of time, so I am glad you were able to figure it out.
