Fun idea! What a ride! I liked the artwork :D thanks for making and sharing this!

Lol that game was nice xD Really cool concept and I also liked the graphics. THANKS for not putting Jump Scares on it and taking this funny stuff and look! Prob. more details on the walls, floor and roof and a few more items to make it more difficult to find the ghosts and books. Additionally some feedback for Clicking (prob. with cooldown so that you dont can click spam.) I had no control or performance issues.

Developer

You almost described my whole idea behind this. I wanted the ride to be spooky and kind of cute, and the ghost just a little scary to have some contrast. I'm also not a fan of jump scares. so I made the light and sound effects to not be that intense. There was going to be a cooldown mechanic and some trading of the items collected for others that made it easier to click on stuff. Instead just added the sound feedback for the clicks when I was running out of time, Thanks for your feedback!

The idea of the ghost train is really cool and original! I think it’s cool for it to be a rail shooter where you are literally on rails. It just misses visual and audio polish.

Congrats for the job!

Yeah, I would like to redo most of the audio and some of the sprites, align the textures of the walls and add actual textures to the cart. Thanks for your feedback!

I think the theme was really well implemented with making it like an amusement ride, and the difference between the fake ghosts and real ghosts was very clear which is good. The camera felt a bit glitchy at times and it was hard to know if my clicking was hitting the ghost/item or not since there was no crosshair or effect that showed where I was clicking. Also trying to aim and hit something in the middle of a turn was a nightmare xD. Overall it was fun with a clear design idea, well done!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the theme, I spent 80% of the time making it feel like a real one and the other 20% making the game. Fixing the camera would have been my first priority if I had a little more time, and the crosshair was something that went further back in my list, so it I couldn't add it in the end. That's true about the turns, it's just the way it is, but I could prevent items and ghosts from spawning there at least in the easy difficulty. Thanks for your feedback!

Love the idea of the cart on rails going through the haunted house!

Controls weren't great for me, on a MacBook. two finger clicking on the tablet to right-click is a bit challenging in a game. Be nice if that was also mapped to a key. But that seems a bit nitpicky, since most people would have a normal mouse.

Developer

Good to know, I will take that into account next time. Thanks for your feedback!

The camera moves a bit too fast and at the beginning I wasn't sure what to do. But after a bit I was able to know what to do (aim with light on and click).

It's very original, it has a lot of 3d models, the ride feels like a real one.

Very cute game!

Developer

To be honest, the only 3D models are the car, the tracks and the door, the rest are 2D sprites with the Billboard-Y flag. I didn't think about the mouse sensitivity, I might add it to the options later. Thanks for your feedback!

Maybe it was just me, but the camera seemed to glitch while I was on the ride, making it kinna seizure-y. It actually made it pretty scary haha. But I think it also made the objective of the game a bit confusing. Awesome job with making a 3D game though! That's a lot of work.

Hi! When I was coding the camera I forgot how to use Quaternions, so it ended up being a bit messy; and I didn't have time to fix it afterwards. I also noticed that sometimes it glitched for a frame and was a little startling, haha, but it was not intended and I might fix it after the voting ends. Thanks for your feedback!

To be honest, I didn't know what I was meant to be doing, and I'm not sure if I won or lost at the end. But doing 3D for a game jam is ambitious and I liked the idea.

Developer

Hi, there was a bug (now fixed) that didn't show the results at the end of the run, the goal is to find and click all the ghosts and the items. Thanks for your feedback!
