Nice work. I could see this game being fleshed out into something very replayable with more degrees of freedom

Legitimately some of the most fun I've had this jam! The audio, graphics and gameplay all come together nicely, and the game loop works quite well. A few things I did notice in no particular order:

  • I couldn't tell if the between round upgrades are reset each time or not. It kind of seems like they are?
  • The HTML5 version at least reliably starts to lag badly when the tan guys start spawning. Disabling enemy to enemy collisions with a collision layer/mask would probably help with the sheer number of colliders
  • Related to the previous point, sometimes the small guys would spawn on top of the big guys where bullets can't reach them
  • I didn't see an xp bar, which would have been nice and added to the progression feeling

I also appreciate that the truck-kun joke made it into the final version :D

Awesome job and excited to see what you do next time!

Fun game - solid entry, especially considering the time constraints.

Really appreciate the leveling up and the fact you save the process on reloading the game.

three nitpicks:

1. Game slows to crawl when too many monsters are spawned - maybe a HTML 5 problem..

2. Wish there was a way to see your progress - what upgrades you have already selected

3, This one is silly, but the second monsters look much scary than the third ones would switch the order.

Again nice submission, enjoyed it

Very good start to your game! I included it in my compilation video series for the Godot Wild Jam #56, if you’d like to check it out. :)

The level up noise was so satisfying! Great graphics too.

What a cool mashup of the kite genre with a 90s mech game. It was a lot of fun. May aiming was terrible though so a spread fire upgrade would be fun!

3D vampire survivors.  Man with a little hitbox tweaking and I invest some serious hours into this.  Awesome!
