Great short game! I thought it would just be a target practice game, and was cool with that, but then I saw the big carrot dude and the funky music started playing haha that was awesome. I was hoping the boss would have another move other than the rock throw, something to spice it up. Great submission! Also I had the grey window flashing in my game halfway through the boss battle.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Glad you liked it.

I'm still looking into that flashing screen. Thinking it's a bug with Godot 4 and fog. Waiting for godot 4.1!

Short sweet and fun. No framerate issues, ran like butter.  Nice work

Great work! A simple yet fun concept, very short and intense. Nice sound design.

Very impressive graphics and sound. Unfortunately, I like some others had the framerate problem...

I was able to beat the monster but was difficult due to the afore mention problem. Hope that can get fixed.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Its unfortunate you had issues.

Would you like to share with me which video card are you using?  and which OS?  Thanks in advance

Windows / NVidea GeForce 940MX - updated the drives less than a month ago, I think

Developer

thanks, I'm looking into how to improve this.

Nice game! A little short, but I guess that’s expected for a game jam by one person. Very good idea to have a “tutorial” phase were you can only shoot the targets that smoothly transitions to the boss fight

It would have been nice if there was a “recovering” animation after the throw (and of course more monsters to fight :P)

Nice touch to have the arrows stay stuck in the boss for some time. I also liked the overall look and color pallet

(Seeing the other comments) I also didn’t have frame issue, but I’m running my game on a rather good laptop, on linux

Developer

nice, I'm still wondering what it could be, perhaps just some weirdness with Godot 4 that eventually will get fixed.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Making the arrows stick took waaaaay too long to get right. Glad it's appreciated haha

I did not have framerate issues, the game basically ran very smooth, but I did notice black flashing/screen. Besides that, its a great entry, the player feels smooth and the boss mechanic is pretty solid!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. Glad to hear it ran very smoothly!

I bet Godot 4 is having some weird issues depending on the hardware running it.

I like the feel of this! I included it in my compilation video series for the Godot Wild Jam #56, if you’d like to check it out. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Definitely did not coded the screen blinking, must have been a bug with the engine. Sorry about that.

Really tight controls and very well put together. Only complaint is there isn't more of it!

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it

The targets are a nice touch. Movement is good, sensitivity is fine and it's nice that you can change it. Music was pretty bumpin.

The fps I was getting was very low, I have a gaming laptop though the fog in our game also did this to me a little bit when it was set high.

Developer

Thanks for playing.

It's unfortunate to get confirmation that the fog is causing issues. I wonder if this is something I can optimize from my end or need a new godot engine update.

neat stylish 3D experience!

Thanks!

Very stylish art. The level design was really great the way it's obvious what to do at every moment and teaches you the skill you need without a single word. Very cool game!

The movement felt a little bit clunky, and the monster's attacks were exceptionally easy to avoid if they don't spawn on you. A little bit of leading by the monster based on velocity would have made juking it more interesting.

Really great work, I had fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing. I always struggle with making my games either too easy or too hard

The first section to get familiarized with the controls is a nice touch and I liked the art style.

Not sure if you noticed but the aiming controls felt a bit strange and it would get a bit choppy at times.  I'm just on a laptop and it may be the fog or something.  Maybe when the bow is drawn, the mouse sensitivity could drop temporarily.

The music kicking in for the fight was great and fit everything really well.

Developer

Thanks for playing. I wonder if the fog is causing frame drops. Good idea on the mouse sensitivity when drawing, I'll give it a try.
