graphics were really cool and all the animations were really smooth! I got the hang of the game at some point but i didn't know if i can ever finish it or if it just repeats forever. also the ai played random and didnt get any combos ever so you can't really lose.. but the actual mechanics of the game felt nice to play, controls could be improved tho.

Sorry, I had no idea what I was doing so I could really only look at the game ;_;
The graphics and animations are solid, cards are very detailed. The tutorial didn't help me but maybe I misunderstood it. I tried watching the AI as well for a bit to see if there were moves I could do that they did but mine were always invalid trying to match them.
The card system was really confusing for me and I ended up not doing more than the first level, but the graphics were awesome and I loved the commentary! Card games aren't really my thing so I withhold most judgement, but one thing that really stuck out to me was that it was very hard to read the card values with them being almost white on white. Maybe making the letters gold or something to stand out would help.
Really great work overall and very polished feeling!
My first play through I was so confused about how I was suppose to get matches, but once I read the other comments about using the arrow key it all made sense. The next try I blew Jon out of the water :) I love the art choices and for a game jam everything looks really polished. I would have been great if the first part of the first round game walked you through the controls and gave you a dummy match just to reinforce the controls.
Played the first round and didn't understand a thing haha. Didn't realize you used the arrow keys to move and select cards.
Played the tutorial, but it didn't really taught me the controls, was sort of hoping for a quick guided run.
It's a fun game, but I wonder if the AI even scores, all the times I played it had zero points.
It took me a few tries before I actually understood what the game was asking me to do, but once I did actually figure out how to play it was pretty fun. There are some pretty cool ideas you've got going on here! I like a lot of the art too. I think maybe making the first level significantly slower paced and easier would make the initial learning curve a lot smoother (Or maybe I just don't play enough card games lol).
