I liked the interactive menu!

The downloadable build works fine, but the webgl build was suffering. (Took like 5 mins to load in lol)

If a player was using the webgl build, taking that long to load in, then dies, I'm not sure they would be that motivated to continue.

Overall, it was a very original idea, but needs more polish and possibly a larger FOV or more feedback juice to keep the player engaged. I liked the concept, and this game was pretty cool!

Fun game!  The art scale and audio defiantly make the game feel like you are living the life of bee.

Developer(+1)

You have gotten the essence of this game :) Thank you Dani for playing and taking the time to comment.

Great object hunt. I liked the interactive menu. I liked all the graphics and the audio. The spider webs were inconvenient, but not too punishing. Restarting was no big deal.

The only major challenge I had was that the window was pure white, so I assumed that was the end of the art, which indicated the end of the level. My own assumptions cost me time, since it took me a while to test those assumptions and actually try going that way. But, if other people are like me, maybe there's another way to indicate the presence of an open window. (Not sure what that would be).

While I'm nitpicking, I didn't love the invisible walls either. Climbing vertically on nothing broke verisimilitude in an otherwise very immersive sim. (But that's a very minor nitpick. And again, I wouldn't have a good solution for that.)

Good job. High marks.

Developer

Thanks plexsoup, i really appreciate your kind feedbacks.

I do agree regarding the invisible wall. I wanted to implement "trap" to limitate the level. As birds attacking the player beyond a precise height. I hadn't had the time to create such limitations.

For the windows, you are right. Thinking about that bad design, i should have added a "real" opened windows and visual indicators as an insect walking  and getting in.

First of all nicely done on the main menu very creative but overall the game was good there are just a couple things that hindered it a bit. I'm not if its just me but when I started the beginning of the level is just white everywhere until you fly away from it not sure why. And the I'm not sure how long I could take the bee buzzing any more lol. But overall I love the idea and you did a good job!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words.

No one at the moment reports such strange behaviour at start. Thank you for continuing  to play despite this bug. Sorry for this. I did my best to solve the bugs. Well it seems i am not 100% successful

For the buzzing, just figure it like an ASMR session :o)

Very creative main menu controls, although it took me a while to figure out how to start the game.

Nice art and environments. 2d area sounds add nicely to the atmosphere

Developer(+1)

Regarding the menu, I really hesitated to create it like that. As it is unusual, initially, players are a bit lost.

A tip for menus, you can activate the mouse thanks to the [Escape] key.

Thank you TRy Dev for giving the game a try and your kind feedback.

Although a bit confusing at first, I'd say the menu was a nice addition. A nice surprise when you realize how it works and it's also the same controls as in game, so a bit like a tutorial for movement before the game starts.

Developer

Exactly, you got the spirit! :)  In my mind, i wanted the menus to be a true part of the gaming experience.

Nice Entry. The interactive main menu surprised me. Very original choice. In the html build it got a bit slow on loading some elements, but nice work.

Developer

Thank you very much  LXZ!

I recommend downloading the game to avoid  slowdowns. This is by far the best way to  play the demo.

I loved the intractable title screen. I'm playing in the browser on a chromebook and the web build is crashing like you said. Hopefully someone streams themselves playing if you don't add screenshots later.

Developer

Thank you TheImmuneCkay. The best way to play the demo is to download it. Three versions are available windows, linux and macOS. File is really small (about 165Mo).

I could have added a video showing a succesfull run but I don't want to spoil the level exploration.

A nice little exploration game with a big pastoral world, but you're only limited by the small FOV.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback Oreztov.

The small FOV is a game design choice. I want the player feels the smallness of the bee. Initially I even blurred the edges. But I felt it was a bit too much, a bit suffocating.

10/10 most accurate bee simulation ever. Now I understand why they fly around aimlessly and into windows. Highly educational XD

That was really unique and I appreciated how big and detailed the world is, you did really well in capturing the sense of scale. I love the variety of animals and things to see! Well done!

Developer

Thank you very much strutcode for your really supportive feedback. It means a lot to me.

Cow faces where really funny. Hope it had a death message or screen, was a bit jarring the first time I died. Congratz on your entry

Thank you BossClan for your feedback.

I enjoyed doing the design of the animals. In particular, the cows. I tried to give them a somewhat human expression through the eyes. :)

It paid off. Some friends and I were playing and we spent like 5 minutes laughing xD.
