Cute and quirky.

The grapple system is a very cool mechanic. While I think it still requires some work, it was still very fun to use. I'm not a programmer myself, but I can imagine it was fairly difficult to implement. You really did a great job with it though.

The assets you used went together really well, nicely chosen.

All around a fun little entry. I hope you had fun and learned some new things while making it. ^^

Thanks for the compliments! Glad you enjoyed it. I learned a lot doing this since it's my first game made without following a course/tutorial and had been a good playground to keep testing/learning new things (I've been adding multiplayer to it just to learn how it works).

First steps are rather hard. But with some efforts, controls become more natural. What do the numbers mean at the end of the level (85/18 for the blue ghost and 83/18 for the red one)

I found a "secret" place . Is it the only one?

Fun game that requires a bit of practice to succeed.

Hey, thanks for sticking with it. Yeah the fonts are kind of messed up, 0 and 8 looks almost the same. I'll be updating the fonts after the voting ends. Just 1 secret place, and a total of 20 ghosts.

The movement mechanics is very cool, and I have a fun time playing this! 
 Like the art and game atmosphere, and especially love the grapple spin animation when turning around.

For the control part, It feels a little strange to be pulled up even if I didn't hook at something. (just aim near the platform)

Hey, thanks for your kind words. Yeah you take the ghosts to the statues and the ending starts. You seem to have got all of them and not used any, congratulations :D; that way you get the "true" ending. Really glad you had fun with it

I struggled to get the jumping to work reliably. I was spamming space bar and it seems to randomly spend a ghost. Playing in browser. Really like the art and music, its all works so well.

Hey thanks for playing. Ghost Powers only work in the air as described in the control descriptions and also why it says "air" above the space icon in game, though I probably did a bad job showing how it works in game. Also people seem to not try to swing while grappled which makes some sections impossible. Thanks for your kind words.

Very fun and pretty game. I find the movement very fun and I liked the challenge of the final segment but its a huge difficulty spike from the rest of the game. The 8 and a 0 in the font look really similar so it took me a while to figure out what the numbers meant. I feel like you should be able to normally jump if you're standing on the ground and the red ghost should trigger if you press jump while in the air kinda like a double jump.

Are you planning to work on the game after the jam? I would love to see more levels for this.

Hey, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. My idea of not been "able" to jump comes from bionic commando, where you literally cannot jump, just grapple, so I added a small jump to the grapple action to differentiate the game a bit and add a challenge in the case you would like to jump without grappling; in that case you got to aim the grapple at an empty space. I thought about it kind of mixing platforming with figuring out the best moves for each section if you would like to improve your time.

I'm aware of the difficulty spike, I didn't have much time to make more than one level so I tried to pack as much into one, and those were the consequences :D.

I noticed the font issue way too late and it was going to take me too long to fi x it for the deadline, I'll probably change it after the jam ends. Some friends and I have been speed-running the level (there's a youtube video in the game description with a video of it) so I'll probably take at stab at expanding it with some extra levels, fixing some of the bugs we've found and probably make the difficulty curve more smooth.

This game was awesome! The music was perfect and the art was very fitting! The controls took a little bit to get the hang of but over great work!

I really enjoyed this game! I went through it twice to make sure I got all the ghosts to the end. It was definitely a little difficult to control, but the second time around I got a hang of it. I loved the graphics and music, great work!

This game was pretty fun, found a bunch of funny glitches with the grappling scythe, for example being able to teleport pretty much anywhere, being able to grab onto air and being able to climb straight walls. Also found one secret room, don't know if there's more than the one I found.

Hahaha Thank you. Swapping CharacterBody2D and RigidBody2D created an incredible amount of glitches. I tried squashing all of them as much as possible, was fixing them until last minutes before submission. There is only 1 secret room, 20 ghosts in total. Awesome that you enjoyed it.

Thanks. If you reached the statues surrounding the god's ray then you reached the end. You just approach the light and the ending starts.

Ambiance and music were really cool. I found the game really hard, I don't know if it was intended. It's okay because of the non-punitive respawn ;) Well done!

If you did the art and music woah this is very cool ! The atmosphere is great.

I had a bit of trouble with the paltforming. The concept is great but not being able to jump, velocity.x being locked i think when jumping etc made it a bit clunky and i couldn't go further than the little cave. It seems you can also hardlock yourself when using ghosts.

But for a jam, excellent, well done !

I was going again through the comments and what do you mean hardlock? You can finish the game without using ghosts. You get the actual true ending if you do so.
